"Can you please say something? Do you hate it, is that it?" Sophia asked, feeling her nerves switching to anger.
Lando turned around to face her. His eyes switched from shock after seeing everything she had done, to absolute awe.
He was in awe of her. As he stared at her, he took a chance to really look at her. He could now see her in a different way to all those years ago when they first met.
She was already pretty back then, but in all these years, she had grown into a stunning woman.
She was wearing a sleeveless black dress that fit her like a glove, highlighting her every curve.
Lando was so busy admiring her that he failed to hear the question he had just been asked.
He quickly snapped out of his trance when she asked him another question.
"Why are you staring at me? Say something."
He didn't know how to express how happy and appreciative he was for everything she had done for this date.
So he decided, since actions speak louder than words, to do exactly that, take action.
He moved closer to her, looking her right in the eyes as he did so.
She backed away slightly. She seemed confused, still wondering why he hadn't said anything.
Lando got close enough to put one hand in her lower back and one in her face, cupping her cheek.
"I'm going to kiss you now, ok?"
Lando waited for confirmation, and after a small nod from Sophia, which was all she managed to do, he had what he needed.
He closed the gap between their lips with a strong and passionate kiss.
Sophia was completely overwhelmed. Both by the fact that she was kissing Lando freaking Norris and also by the fact that just 30 seconds ago, she thought he had hated what she had done and was messing with her.
Sophia finally got what she wanted. She was completely sober and could feel every sensation that kiss was provoking. She knew that unlike the other kiss they had shared, she would remember this one for a long time.
Lando, on the contrary, remembered every single sensation from their first kiss, but somehow, this one felt completely different.
They were both sober, both longing for each other since that night, even if it did take Sophia some time to actually realise she was longing for him, too.
They broke apart the most passionate kiss each of them had had since they remembered and just stood there, staring at each other.
Lando spoke first. "That was..."
"Amazing." Sophia said, finishing his sentence.
"Yeah. I'm glad it wasn't just me who thought that." Lando added.
They stood there in silence for a while, neither one of them knowing what to say, until Sophia broke the silence.
"I guess you didn't hate what I planned."
"Are you joking? Of course not. This is unbelievable."
Sophia gave him the biggest smile, really happy to hear his words confirming he had appreciated what she had done.
"Well, it won't be so unbelievable if everything is cold, so let's eat."
They moved over to the dining table and enjoyed the beef Wellington she had prepared.
Lando complimented her cooking several times, which made her really proud of herself.
They discussed everything from their hobbies to their favourite ice cream flavour.
