When they finally arrived at his hotel, Charles quickly got out of the car and hurried to open the door for her. She appreciated this gesture and smiled back at him as he opened her door.

"You look beautiful tonight." Charles said after looking her up and down as they approached the entry.

Sophia blushed slightly at this and thanked him, also telling him he looked very sharp.

She was wearing a silk black dress that dropped a little over her knees. She had put her hair up in a messy bun and chosen black high heels sandals to finish her look. She did indeed feel beautiful and couldn't wait to join the party.

When they walked in, the first person she saw was Daniel Ricciardo. He met her gaze and immediately started smiling.

"It's so good to see you, Sophia. It's been a while." He said as he pulled her in for a hug.

"It's great to see you too!" She said and went on to make chichat about their holidays and the places they had been.

Eventually, she wrapped up the conversation and told him that she was going to get a drink.

Sophia walked up to the bar and waved her arm to get the bartenders attention. "A scotch on the rocks, please."

"That's an old man drink." A voice said from behind her.

Sophia turned to see who the voice belonged to and her eyes widened in shock as she saw her best friend, Jennifer.

"Jenn? What on earth are you doing here?"Sophia said while giving her a massive hug.

"I flew out yesterday and watched the race today."Jenn responded calmly like Sophia was crazy for being in shock.

"Why didn't you tell me you were here?"

"Well...I had planned on coming to meet you after the race and surprising you. When the race was over I grabbed my phone to call you and then I saw your little talk with Lando on the screens."

"People actually saw that?"

"Yeah, kinda. Anyway, you left looking pretty upset and I know better than to talk to you when you're like that, so I decided to let you cool down. Since I'm staying in the same hotel, I figured I would find you at the bar after the day you had. So, around eight I went to the hotel bar and that's when I saw you pass and then leave in Charles Leclerc Ferrari. Then I decided to surprise you by coming here, so I took a taxi."

Sophia didn't really know what to say to her explanation so she just asked the first thing that came to mind "How did you manage to get inside this party?"

"I might have waved at one of the drivers when they were waving at someone other than me. That seemed to convince security that I was telling the truth when I said I was with them."

"Well I can't believe you're here, I missed you so much." Sophia said with a smile, still trying to process everything she had just told her.

"I know, I missed you too. Now to the important stuff, I want to know everything about what happened with Lando. Also I need to know how you're so casual after literally riding with Leclerc in his Ferrari."

Sophia let out a slight laugh at this pulled her in for another hug. She still couldn't believe Jenn was actually there.

Jennifer and Sophia had been friends since 5th grade. They had met in the first day of school when Sophia fell and skinned her knee and Jennifer supported her for the first time of many.

Since that day they had been looking out for each other and had never stopped.

Sophia told her everything that happened with Lando and what he had said. After hearing the hole story, Jenn didn't look as horrified by the things Lando had said as Sophia had been.

"Well, you did ruin his race..." She told Sophia, not leveling her eyes with hers.

"Are you serious? You're taking his side?"

"I'm not taking his side exactly" she said hesitantly "I'm just saying that maybe he didn't really mean what he said. He must have been quite upset after losing the race. Maybe he was just hot-headed."

Althought she was in shock that her best friend wasn't taking her side, Sophia didn't want to fight with her best friend, she missed her and just wanted to have fun.

"I don't want to fight. Instead how about I take you to meet Charles?" She asked knowing well she had been wanting to ask her that since Sophia had become friends with him, but had been to embarrassed to.

Just as she had predicted Jennifer's face immediately lit up as she said "Yes, yes, yes, please!"

Sophia started to walk in direction of where she had last seen Charles. She eventually spotted him and walked up to him, keeping Jenn a little behind.

"Hey, do you mind if I introduce you to someone? She asked him, while Jenn smiled anxiously behind.

"Yeah sure, who?" He politely questioned.

"My best friend, Jennifer."

After telling him who he would be meeting he nodded in agreement and Sophia gave her friend a wave signalling to her to come closer.

"Hey, nice to meet you, I'm Je..."She started to say when he interrupted her.

"Jennifer, yes. Sophia has told me so much about you."

Her cheeks turned bright pink as she couldn't contain her excitement from knowing that Charles Leclerc know who she was.

Sophia's heels were killing her so she really needed to sit down She left them talking and went over to the bar to drink the scotch she was still holding but hadn't taken a sip out of.

She was drinking her scotch with her back to Charles and Jenn and that's when she felt someone behind her.

Sophia turned around until her gaze met his greenish blue eyes. Lando held her gaze, as if challenging her to look away first. She didn't and he eventually broke eye contact and started talking.

"Drowning your sorrows?"He asked while pointing at the drink in her hands.

"Why do you care?"Sophia said quite aggressively and he seemed slightly taken aback.

"Just checking to see if you actually felt bad about what happened at the race."

"Seriously? Is that what you came here to do? Make me feel worst about the shit day I had? You know, you people think that just because you're hot and rich you can do and say whatever  the fuck you want, but rules apply to you to. So just shut..."

"Did you just say I'm hot?" He said, with a smirk, before she could finish speaking.

Sophia could feel her cheeks turning red as he said those words, while simultaneously cursing herself for letting that slip in her speech.

She got up from her sit aiming to get away from him as quickly as possible, but when she tried someone who was dancing hit her from behind and she almost fell on Lando.

After regaining her balance, Sophia was so close to him that she could feel the heat emanating from his skin.

She looked up and locked gaze with him, completely forgetting that she was trying to leave.

Sophia didn't know how long they had spend holding each others gaze, but eventually she heard Jenn calling her name in a distance.

Sophia quickly diverted her stare and took a step back, managing to get away from him to go and find her friend, still not sure of what had happened and why she was feeling the way she was.
