"Did you hear? Hello earth to Brandon!" Alana demanded snapping her fingers in his face
"What lana?"
"The princess is going on a royal tour. You know the one to are love struck completely in love with-"
"That's the same thing". Brandon countered
"What... ever." She drawled "you didnt get to go to the cornation with father."
"Whos fault was that?" Brandon sassed
"You wanted to break somes rules just as much as i-"
"No you conned me into it and i didnt want you getting hurt." Brandon objected "which you would have if it wasnt for me. Lucky a grounding was all you got."
"Whatever!" She demanded. "you gonna go? To the tour? On the tour? To get your girl?"
"And say what?" Brandon countered his gaze shifting down to his feet. Alana cleared her throat.
"Hi remember me I'm the super studly Brandon-"
"Where is this niceness coming from?"
"What? I'm always nice." She objected instantly.
"Alana-"
"Fine if you marry the princess that basically makes you a prince by extension will make me a princess ." Alana agreed. Brandon repeated that thinking it through and none of it made sense past marry the princess. He liked that. Marry Rhaenyra.
"I don't think it works like that ." Brandon countered.
"Well, it should." Alana decided. "So go and make her fall in love with you!"
"I would embarrass myself." He corrected. "What would I even say?"
"You are considering it! Goodie! Let's pick out the perfect outfit and then move our butts!"
"If it's a tour she is going lots of places-" brandon began to remind his little sister
"Can't risk her finding Prince Charming before you get to seeing your shot." Alana countered
"You are so smart sometimes."
"I know. I should be on the small council." She agreed throwing things from his wardrobe
"As what?" Brandon laughed back
"Master of awesome." She answered after a moment.
"Right. I will put in a good with my future wife if this works."
"Thats all i ask- ew. Burn this." She threw a shirt towards the fire. "This will work. I will do my magic on it." She added prancing out of the room.
"Dont bedazzle me Alana!"
"And now a child!" Rhaenyra groaned rolling her eyes as willem blackwood stepped forward.
"Go go go go!" alana shoved her brother forward
"I need a moment." Brandon begged.
"No you dont you had the whole trip down here to be a moment." Alana corrected
"What if i mess up your chances of being master of awesome?" He countered. Alana hesitated
"Rather be a princess. Dont duck this up."
"Duck?"
"Mother said its not right for a lady to cuss." Alana agreed "now go you doofus!"
"Let us be done". Rhaenyra groaned rising up.
"I hope im not too late ." Brandon remarked seeing rhaenyra on her way out. A smile curved her lips, his own smile was disarming. "My princess," he took a knee before her. "I was in awe of you when you walked through the camp on aegons second name day covered in blood - once i realized you werent hurt- and how you looked exactly like the warrior queen you are destined to be. I think i fell in love with you before that moment but then i knew." Brandon told her. "If i could be so brazen as to offer my hand to you i want you to know that i would be your husband and you would be my queen." Alana smiled from the doorway he was a smooth talker she didnt even have to prepare him he said he knew what he wanted to say. "Princess, I would use every bit of my power even small as it is compared to you to support you in your claim and ruling of the seven kingdoms. I would be loyal to you rhaenyra and only you." Brandon finished.
"That was...." Rhaenyra felt breathless. All the men before had wanted her crown but he bowed to her. He rose up taking a step closer.
"In sorry we didn't formally introduce, you probably dont remember me." He mused. "Im brandon stark." Her smile brightened.
"Nice to meet you."
"Good gods girl you swore you would remember me this time!" Brandon declared making rhaenyra laugh harder.
"Third times the charm."
