A little gift from me to y'all. 🖤💗
~
The sun had just begun to set, painting the sky in hues of pink and orange, as the four members of BLACKPINK gathered at the cozy rooftop of their favorite café. It had been a whirlwind year, with each of them diving headfirst into solo projects, schedules pulling them in different directions. But tonight, they were just Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rosé—best friends reunited after what felt like forever.
Jennie arrived first, as usual, wrapped in a chic trench coat, her hair cascading in loose waves. She was sipping on an iced Americano when Jisoo appeared, her presence announced by the soft tinkling of the bell above the door. Jisoo’s smile was radiant as she greeted Jennie, her eyes crinkling in that familiar way that made Jennie’s heart warm.
"Finally, some time for just us," Jisoo said, plopping down beside Jennie and pulling her into a side hug.
“I know, right? It’s been way too long,” Jennie agreed, leaning into the embrace.
Not long after, Lisa arrived, her energy filling the space even before she spoke. She wore a casual hoodie and a skirt, looking effortlessly cool and cute as she bounded up the stairs two at a time.
"Missed you guys!" Lisa exclaimed, nearly tackling Jisoo and Jennie in a group hug.
Rosé was the last to arrive, carrying a guitar case and a bag of pastries. Her face lit up at the sight of her members, and she quickly joined the huddle, making the group complete.
They settled into their usual spot on the rooftop, the city lights twinkling below them. The air was cool but not cold, and the conversation flowed easily, like no time had passed at all.
“I’ve been so busy with my album, I almost forgot how good it feels to just hang out,” Rosé confessed, her voice soft but content.
“I know what you mean,” Jennie replied. “It’s like, we’re always together but never really 'together', you know?”
Lisa nodded. “But tonight, we’re all here. That’s what matters.”
Jisoo reached into the bag Rosé had brought, pulling out a chocolate croissant. She broke it into pieces, handing them out to each of the girls. “A little sweet for my sweeties,” she said with a playful grin, making them all laugh.
As the night wore on, they caught up on everything—laughing about Lisa’s latest dance moves and getting caught up with her new song, teasing Jennie about her newfound love for cooking, listening to Rosé hum a new melody, and marveling at Jisoo’s photography skills. The rooftop was filled with their laughter, the sound carrying into the night like a cherished melody.
At some point, Rosé pulled out her guitar and started strumming softly. The others fell silent, listening as she played a few chords of a song she’d been working on. The melody was gentle, the kind that wrapped around you like a warm blanket. Without needing to ask, Jennie, Lisa, and Jisoo began to harmonize, their voices blending effortlessly.
It was just like old times, when they’d stay up late in the practice room, creating music together with nothing but their voices and a guitar. The song was unfinished, but that didn’t matter. What mattered was the feeling—the comfort of being with the people who knew you best.
As the last note faded into the night, they sat in comfortable silence, the bond between them stronger than ever.
“I missed this,” Lisa said quietly, breaking the silence.
“Me too,” Jisoo added, her voice equally soft.
“We’ll make sure it doesn’t take another year to do this again,” Jennie promised, and the others nodded in agreement.
Rosé smiled, her heart full. “To us,” she said, raising her cup of tea.
“To us,” they echoed, clinking their cups together.
And for that night, they were just four friends, sharing a moment of peace in a world that was always moving too fast.
