Chapter 5: A Royal Interruption

The peace of the early morning was shattered by the insistent ringing of the doorbell. Martin and Freja, still tangled in the sheets, exchanged a puzzled glance before Martin reluctantly rose to answer the door. Freja stayed behind, wrapping herself in the sheets as she listened to the murmur of voices from the hallway.

"Rae?" Martin's surprised voice drifted back to her.

Freja quickly dressed and joined them in the hallway. There stood Rae, looking concerned and out of breath. Beside her were two figures dressed in elegant, otherworldly attire that Freja instantly recognized. The regal bearing and intricate designs of their garments marked them as none other than Prince Otis and Princess Lara of Eldoria. Behind them stood their royal cousin, Yuxuan, a tall and imposing figure with an air of quiet authority.

"Freja," Rae said, her voice a mixture of relief and urgency. "We need to talk."

Once everyone was seated in the living room, Freja couldn't help but feel a sense of foreboding. The presence of the Eldorian royalty on Earth was not a casual visit. Otis, with his striking green eyes and flowing auburn hair, spoke first, his tone grave.

"Freja, we've come to take you back to Eldoria. There are matters of great importance that require your presence."

Freja's heart sank. "What's happened?"

Lara, her ethereal beauty framed by delicate, shimmering locks of silver, leaned forward. "There's been a disturbance in the cosmic energies. It's unlike anything we've seen before. The balance of our world is at risk."

Yuxuan, his deep voice resonating with authority, added, "And it seems that your presence on Earth is somehow connected to this anomaly."

Freja glanced at Martin, her eyes filled with worry. "But... I've just found something important here. Someone important."

Otis nodded sympathetically. "We understand, but the fate of Eldoria hangs in the balance. We need your help."

Martin, feeling a surge of protectiveness, spoke up. "If Freja has to go, then I'm coming with her. We're in this together."

Lara's smile was thin and didn't reach her eyes. "Of course, you are welcome. But understand, this is a matter of great urgency."
