8th January 2014
The past few weeks since I have came back have been pretty hectic, Theresa and Carmel are at each others throats constantly due to them arguing over Kathleen Angel Theresa's daughter so things at home have been frosty. Also things with Robbie haven't got any better, no matter how hard I try to speak to him he just keeps pushing me away, I also tried to speak to Finn hoping maybe he would help the situation but to be honest he is just as bad as Robbie in my opinion. Today is the first day back at six form since I got back from Alicante and to be honest for the first time ever I'm feeling nervous, just even thinking about seeing Robbie makes my heart race except this time instead of from excitement it's from worry. I decided to wear some blue skinny jeans and white sleeved shirt and some white Nike trainers and my black puffer jacket on top due to the cold January weather. As I walked to school I kept debating in my head if I truly wanted to go on the way I accidentally bump into Sinead Freddie's fiancée, "watch it will ya" she says in her thick scouse accent, "well I didn't mean to" I scoff, me and Sinead never saw eye to eye she is 2 years older than me and in school she was known as one of those bitchy popular girls now she's left six form and works at price slice and is also engaged to Freddie. "Did you hear, me and Freddie are getting married in a few days" she said in a smug voice as she flashes me her engagement ring, "I heard, I never saw you as the type of girl that gets married " I said back in which she scowls, "don't act like you are gods gift because guess what Lola you aren't" she spat back in which I roll my eyes, "anyways I got places to be Sinead, unlike you" I say as I walk away and as I do, I hear a familiar voice behind me. I turn around to see Robbie talking to Sinead which peaked my interest in what they are talking about but it looked like Robbie was flirting with her but she wasn't having any of it. Just seeing him flirt with her broke my heart even more than it already is, before it gets to much for I just headed to school as in all honesty I don't wanna know what they were both on about.
As I headed in the school gates I saw Holly waiting outside the school entrance, "you're late I thought we was gonna get here earlier for a catch up" she jokingly said. "Well something interrupted me, or should I say someone" I reply as I sit down on the school bench next to Holly. "Let me guess, something involving Robbie?" She questions, "yeah partly, first I bumped into Sinead and she was bragging about her and Freddie getting married in a few days and then when I was walking away, I saw Robbie having a conversation with her and well let's just say it was way to friendly on his end" I explain. "I don't know why he's acting like this" Holly says, in which I nod my head. "I know, I've tried so many times to apologise and explain but he keeps pushing me away" i sigh and Holly pulls me into a hug. "He will soon realise Lola I promise, he would be stupid to just give up on you like that" she comforts me. "Thank you Holly for being such a good friend" I smile in which she smiles back. "Anytime Lola" she replies, "anyway, how is it going with you and Jason?" I ask in which she smiles, "well it's going really good, he's honestly so sweet" she gushes, "aww I'm really happy for you Holly" I grin, the bell then rings and we both headed to our classes.
When I walked into class, I then realised that I had to sit next to Robbie for the first time since I came back, he and Finn walked into class a few minutes late, today we had John Paul or should I say Mr McQueen teaching us and as they both walked in John Paul just switched up he looked tense and nervous which confused me, it made me wonder what happened between them when I left. Robbie then locked eyes with me and the once sweet and happy smile he used to give me has now changed to a smug grin, he sat down next to me. I debated for a few seconds before I decided to say something, "so, what was you talking to Sinead about?" I ask him quiet enough so people couldn't hear, "why do you care?" he replies in a cocky tone, "why are you seriously being like this?" I raise my eyebrow trying to put a brave face on but deep down it was breaking me. "You're the one who left" he muttered, "look i said I'm sorry ok, you know how much I was going through Robbie" I replied. "You're just a coward Lola" he said coldly, my eyes widen in shock, "you've changed for the worse Robbie" I said my voice cracked as I held in the tears I was trying so hard to not show how hurt I felt, because I know that's what he wants, "I miss the old Robbie Roscoe..." I said as I looked at him but he wouldn't even look me in the eyes. After that I just ignored him for the rest of the lesson not even acknowledging his existence I kept seeing at the corner of my eye him glancing at me a few times but he didn't try and talk to me and I'm glad he didn't as he's said more than enough to me today.
After class I left as soon as possible and as I left the class I felt a tap on my shoulder I turned around to see Robbie's best friend Finn he is also Sinead's younger brother, "Finn, is everything ok?" I say a little be confused since I didn't speak to him much, "I overheard what Robbie was saying to you in class, you alright?" He asked, "I don't know to be honest, why is he acting like this?" I asked him. "Acting like what?" Finn said, "well he's acting just so cold and he's just acting more rebellious since I left, has he said anything about me to you?" I ask him. "Well he isn't too happy but I can try and talk to him if you like" he offers, "you can try if you want, but I feel like he won't listen" I reply. "But thank you Finn" I smile at him in which he gives a faint smile back. "No problem Lola hope everything sorts out with you and Robbie he is a fool for letting you go" he says, which made me feel a little bit surprised as I didn't expect him to say that, "thanks Finn it means a lot" I smile, "I'll see you around Lola" he said as he leaves to go meet up with Robbie over at his locker, and as soon as he left John Paul came up to me, "what was he talking about?" He asked in a serious tone, "he was just saying how Robbie is a fool for letting me go and that he will try and talk Robbie around, why?" I raise my eyebrow, "Lola you need to be careful with Finn, he's dangerous" he warned me, "what do you mean?" I say clearly confused, "Lola you need to stay away from him, do you understand?" He ordered. "Why do I, he's doesn't seem to bad-" I said before he interrupted, "just listen ok, stay away from him!" He said firmly, startling me a little. "John Paul is everything ok?" I say feeling concerned. "Everything's fine ok, just please take my advice okay?" He replies, "okay I will" I agree. Something must have happened between John Paul and Finn because he is so adamant of me staying away, making me wonder what happened between them both that has shaken up John Paul so much.
Authors note: I hope you all enjoyed this chapter, what do you think is going on between Robbie and Sinead and also Finn and John Paul? The next chapter will be out in the next few days, thank you for reading ❤️
