Silence has become Ivys worst enemy. It seems as though the more silent Ivy stayed the angrier the voices inside her got. It wasn't unusual for Ivy to hear such cruel words echo her head, they started the day that man attacked her. A storm of unknown emotions build up inside her brick by brick, month after month, year after year. That feeling of when her gut sinks and makes itself comfy in the hole that it made, had come back.
When she moved away that feeling slowly drifted.
It had now come back and settled in. At this moment in time, Ivy regretted so much. Unsure how the outcomes of all is about to be. Unknowing is what scared her the most, unknowing if this feeling will disappear. Unknowing if Thomas Shelby will stop making deals with the devil. The devil who is himself.Silence is what filled John and Ivys bedroom. Caused by a letter written in blood.
'The price of becoming a Shelby -OFB'
"John, wha- what could this possibly mean? I-I've already lost my sister." Ivys voice trembles, she drops the letter and it falls to the wooden floor.
Silence.
"We need to have a family meeting, it's the only way we can-" John was cut off by Ivy, "No, Tommy will shoot his shot and kill him."
"We're fucked Ivy, your father is onto us!" Fustion burns into John.
"Yes because of a deal Thomas made with him... Tell me, what was the fuckin' deal!" Ivy stands to her feet, her breathing growing unsteady.
"You know I can't tell you that." John's voice grew calm, he watched as she gained closer.
"And keeping his filthy secret means more to you than your own wife?"
Silence.
Ivys heels beat against the bare wood as she leaves the bedroom.
"Where you going now?" John yells down to Ivy.
"Away from you!" She yells back up to him.
The front door slams shut behind her.Ivys met with rain as she walks down watery lane. The evening air is cold, car tires screech in the distance. Something feels off. Her intuition eating at her like it has been all morning and all afternoon. She thought maybe it was the thought of her sister laying dead on the concrete around the corner. No....
"Ivy!" A young voice yells.
She turns around recognising that voice, a little too well.
"Finn? Wha- what're you doin' out here, it's getting late." Ivy questioned him.
His hands falls to his knees as he pants, trying to catch his breath. Ivy lowers down to his level.
"It's Esme-" He pauses to take another long breath.
Ivy rolls her eyes and sighs, "Is she still sending letters?"
He shakes his head, "A letter to say she's... d-dead..."-----
Ivy begins to shiver as goosebumps form onto her skin. She walks towards the first flame she sees, her childhood burning to a crisp.
Screams and cries is what surround her, her foolish family running to save their lives, but not their homes. A chaotic mess just like her mind, Ollie Chester has caused her family to feel her pain. However so differently.
She hears the crisp crunch of leaves behind her, caused by only a man's feet.
The man who she thought was the devil watched with her too. As the uproar flames erase her memories. A burning haze over each trailer home, ashes rain from the branches above too. Making her see such beauty in such pain.
Half the innocence burned in charcoal, stories that can only be spoken and not shown.
Dragging her feet, she walks upon her mother's flame. Crying can only make Esme reach for her sister, who shows no sympathy nor no pain. Making Esme wonder does she have any idea what surrounds her?
That world, their only family world burns together, into one pile of ash. While the flames roar higher, it fills an empty hole within Ivy. Her mind conjured, her insides curling paper, old recipes line ever inch of her bones. The crackle of hell fire burns to her ears, the threat of consumption heating only her skin. And so she back tracks her steps, walking beside the devil.
"What's the plan now?" Thomas asks, trying to figure out the girl stood before him. The light of the flames fills her eyes, "Revenge." Is the only word that fall from her lips...
