TW: Parasite. The parasite is not described at all. Although there's foreshadowing, it can be skipped. You might miss out on a small kiss scene, but the real one isn't here yet.

{Chapter 3.3 Parasite: START!}

I'm waiting for the most important girl I've ever had, the girl that graced my life, since she saved it. My beloved Elegant! I'm my happiest self when I'm with her, smiling and giggling like a madwoman. But then Elegant wanted to leave me, she wanted to commit suicide. We were torn apart, as a great disaster raged upon mankind, leaving nothing in its wake. I'm the only one who benefited from it, who became alive because of it. Elegant came back, found me in hell, and dragged me with her back to Earth. Now, we sit on a park bench, feeding from the disaster.

Pretty cooed, "Aww! They're so cute together."

Bandage whispered, "One of them is a parasite, doesn't that bother you?"

"It's not parasitical if it's not abusive, and they're both happy together!"

They are indeed happy together, since the evidence's pointing to Pretty feeding Elegant. Elegant, the parasite, is gratefully accepting the Bento Box.

I wonder, how are they so happy, when their world is destroyed into oblivion? Perhaps we should learn from them.

Because oblivion is where the ending is.

Bandage has the golden key, and Pretty has the silver one. Only one can get out. Are we going to betray the other to save themselves?

...Bandage would rather not think about it. They'll listen to Miss Perfect judge the outcome.

Elegant looks upon the warmth of Pretty, laid down on her lap, and she couldn't help but smile. Her love is with her, at last. She's the girl that sticks with her, human or not, through this cruel world. She head pats her Pretty, fingers gliding over smooth, silky hair.

Pretty's the one to quell her loneliness, remind her that there's still flowers to sniff, that there's good in life. She smells exactly like the irises she gave her, so she can't help but lean into her touch. Elegant brings her arms closer, resting her head against the crook of her neck.

She's the only one to see me, a monster, as an individual. So, I'll never leave her side, and she'll never leave mine. At the end of the world, I hope we'll see each other again. No, we will, as soulmates connected by the red string of fate. Forever bound to meet again.

Ah, this love is too much to bear. Elegant's heart is beating too fast again. Is it the spicy bento, her, or both?

...She places a light kiss onto her forehead.

—------------------------------

Miss Perfect sat down by the river, contemplating the stories that she's completed. The only characters that followed her were the Weird Hand and Elegant. The Weird Hand made sense, it was something she could see everywhere she went, since she could see them. But Elegant was a whole person, with a whole life, but she still followed her anyways. Pretty must've really cared about her. They loved each other, didn't they? They were a whole couple in one of the stories!

"I don't think Bandage was the one thinking about her to get an Elegant ending, it was me," Pretty said, to no one.

She looked across the reflection in the river. This was Pretty. But in other stories, other timelines, Elegant would be with her, maybe in not such a desolate land. They'd have a picnic at this river, and she'd forget to bring the cake, but Elegant would've had her covered. She'd know to cook in advance for her since she's not good at it herself.
