As soon as I entered the classroom, my best buddy Matt showed up at the door with coffee in hand. He brought it for me every day. Matt was a YouTuber, goig with a pseudonym Blarg. He also had two boyfriends, but that is beside the point. Te main thing is, that both of us have so much money that we could buy our own villa. Or this school.
I just regretted that I couldn't live with him. My parents forbade me from living with anyone except my bodyguard, Droid. Quite an interesting name, now that I think about it. But it's true, he's like something out of a dream. Dreamy bodyguard. If I were a horny fifteen-year-old, I'd have been in bed with him seven times already today.
He's hot, not gonna lie, but not much my type.
"Hey, Pezzy! Here's your morning coffee," Matt said, trying to hand it to me, but Droid was quicker and took it from him.
He looked at the coffee for a moment, sniffed it, then took a sip. After a moment, he said, "Clean," and handed it to me. That infuriated me. Like a lot.
Firstly, I couldn't understand how he could judge that it was safe. If he trained for years, why is he here, and why would he think my best friend wanted to poison me? I get that he didn't probably know it, but man do not drink my coffee!
Matt also seemed displeased with it, and let's be honest, he had a point. "I'm sorry, but do you really think I'd want to poison my best buddy?" he asked angrily, shooting a glare at Droid. If I were in his shoes, I'd be hiding behind my mommy because an angry Matt is the worst thing that exists.
"I'm just doing my job, sir," Droid said with a stone face, scanning the classroom. Then he put on sunglasses so nobody could see where he was looking. Those blue one way glasses were really a good choice to his fit, 'cause he looked even more like a fuck boy and not my bodyguard. At least nobody would like guess he is my bodyguard 'cause he looks how he looks like.
Matt then dragged me away from Droid. I conveyed to Droid with a look that everything was okay.
"So you're giving up your privacy? Just like that? Without a fight? I get it, he's hot, and maybe even more than my John and Jaren, but something about him literally screams bad news. He sounds like an unemotional idiot. You have to get rid of him," Matt said, looking at Droid, who was in the corner of the room. It was impossible to tell where he was looking because of the sunglasses.
"Oh come on, Matt, please. It's his first day. Let's see if it improves, and then I'll start dealing with it," I replied. Famous last words. If he goes like this, I will be witnessing his murder.
Since then, I hadn't had a second of privacy. He followed me everywhere I went.
He stood in the corner of the classroom every hour, and he was even in the corner of the bathroom. At that moment, I wished I was a girl. He couldn't go to the ladies', being a guy. But it was still incredibly weird. He didn't look at me while peeing, he was obviously looking awy, and that made everything worse for me.
And at home? At home, he was still outside the door of the room where I was, and I'd never seen him set foot in his room, let alone sleep.
One thing good, he never went to my room and he could knock and wait till I open my door. So at least I had this kind of privacy.
And the worst? HE NEVER let up on his cold expression. Yes, it's his job, but even when we were alone, there was literally no one within few miles around me, and I told him to smile, he always brushed me off by remarking that this wasn't in his job description and kept staring into space. But at least now I know why he's doing it. It was obvious, tho I am just really dumb and it didn't got to my stupid mind.
He told me he was trained to use his entire field of vision without moving his pupil. In other words, he was simply using his entire field of vision and didn't have to move his eyes for better wiev. That's how he caught the ball. He could see it had disrupted his field of vision. Impressive? That's like the least impressive thing he can do!
Once we were walking in the city toward a podcast studio, I noticed a masked man running toward me, looking like he was pulling something out of his pocket.
Droid didn't delay, and promptly dropped him to the ground. In the blink of an eye, the masked man was on the ground with Droid holding his hands behind his back.
"Put your weapon down," Droid said icily, pressing the knee that was on the hooded guys back.
"What?! I just want an autograph. I'm a huge fan." Said the man with the mask. I'm not going to lie, I was surprised and maybe I was afraid of this man because he reminded me of the one who threw that piece of paper in my face. In those few days, the same papers appeared in my mailbox on the same principle.
They were always pictures that were nowhere on the internet and were all described with death threats.
"And the mask is for what?"He asked Droid again and stood up. He was kind and helped him to his feet. How nice.
"I'm sick. I don't want to infect him. I wear it all the time." The man said, coughing. This was awkward as fuck to be honest.
"I am deeply sorry. For next time, try calling and don't run. With that, every bodyguard will be laying you down on the ground. I am sorry again," I had to smile when he apologized to him. I never heard him apologize. It's nice that he has some self-reflection and can excuse himself.
"I'm clearly sorry. I'll remember that next time." The man in the mask apologized and handed me the paper and the marker. I signed his name and took a long-distance photo with him because he didn't want to infect me. How kind of him.
"Thanks, though it wasn't necessary. Just first try to please consider that everyone is not a rapist. Look what a nice guy." I smiled at Droid, who just nodded and then opened the door to the building where the whole podcast was supposed to be.
The whole week that Droid accompanied me to school, I watched all those girls and boys drooling over him, and also how Nelson kept chasing after me and apologizing.
We were walking down the hallway when I saw Nelson coming towards me with an envelope in his hand.
"Hey, Georgie. I know you'll probably turn me down again, but my brother is hosting a big party on a boat, and we haven't seen each other in a while," Nelson smiled. And he hit my weak spot. His step brother Retrixx was a talented and young entrepreneur, and Nelson was his partner. They had wealthy parents, just like me, so they could afford big celebrations. I wonder what it'll be this time. Or actually, no, I'll just go.
"And what do you want for it?" It was clear to me that he would demand something for this. He would never do something like this for free.
"You will go on a date with me, but without that weirdo." he said, and I looked pleadingly at Droid, who shook his head. Great, thanks a lot, Droid. "Alright, but let's hope he won't interfere. I'll buy him some drinks and food, just to keep him quiet." This reminds me that I haven't seen him eat. He cooks for me and the meals I got are always fresh, high-quality, and delicious. Better than any grandma's cooking. But have I seen him eat? Never.
