Tw// alcoholism (it's Kaveh), lost of husband (rippp), mental break downs, angst 🤷🏻‍♀️

The sound of soft humming and giggles echoed in the small home, the sunlight illuminating beauty between the two men, who were currently pressed against each other, their embrace strong, stronger than love itself. They weren't about to let each other go, not again.

They made a silent agreement, to never let go, even if it meant going insane.
But all good things must come to an end right?

Three years.
Three years he went without seeing his lover, and he hated all of it. He hated the world for taking him away.
Kaveh sighed, slamming the empty glass on the table.
"Maybe you should slow down, yeah?" Cyno said, giving him a small smile.

Kaveh rolled his eyes. He'd rather die from alcohol poisoning than ever feel the emptiness he felt when Alhaitham died.
"Yeah yeah" he grumbled, calling over the tavern keeper, his glass getting refilled.

"Kaveh-" Cyno frowned, "this isn't healthy." His voice was soft and small, moving the glass away from Kaveh.
"How would-" Kaveh stood up, "shut the fuck up" he said, his voice was harsh, and cold, his eyes became glossy.

"He's gone. There's no need to rub it in my face." Kaveh started to walk away and Cyno let out a small sigh.

"I'm sorry, Kaveh"

Kaveh walked up to his once shared home with Alhaitham, tears flowing down his face as he slowly opened the door, two years of not entering this place, this once place full of warmth, love and comfort, now cold and empty.

He slowly dragged his feet, sitting on the couch, his hands making their way to a picture that was kept on the couch side table, one of Kaveh and Alhaitham.

Alhaitham would've scolded him, for being such a mess, after all the scribe always hated it when things were out of order.

Kaveh let out a small cry, holding the picture his chest. "I miss you so much" he cried, tears flowing rapidly down his now flushed cheeks. "Baby just come home" he screamed, falling off the couch, onto his knees, holding the picture with a tight grip.

He couldn't take it anymore. All the hate, and sadness eating him alive, his best friend, his husband, the person that made him the angriest and the happiest.

"Kaveh?" Kaveh let out another cry, that voice sounded like Alhaitham's it hurt, he couldn't, he just couldn't anymore.
"Baby.." the voice murmured.

Strong, arms wrapped around him, and he couldn't help but let out another choked sob, leaning into the touch, it felt all too similar to Alhaitham's body, Alhaitham's grip, and Alhaitham's voice.

Kaveh let out a small choked sob, his voice cracking, he looked up. Those eyes. It was Alhaitham. He let out another choked sob, "haitham!" He exclaimed, wrapping his arms around the other's neck, crying into his shoulder.

Alhaitham let out a small chuckle, "baby.. it's okay, don't cry. I'm here" Kaveh screamed, gripping onto him for dear life.
He pulled away slightly, still holding onto his husband, "but- but you're dead!" He exclaimed, letting out a small cry.

Alhaitham smiled softly, "don't worry about that" he said, Kaveh pulled him close again. He didn't care what that could mean. He just wanted to be in his husband's arms again, closing his eyes he let out a small choked sob.

The rain got heavier, the door was still wide open, thunder boomed, and lightning crashed nearby, oh archons how Kaveh was happy to have Alhaitham back. Kaveh opened his eyes, and Alhaitham was gone.

Kaveh let out a gasp, falling backwards slightly, he let out a small yell, more thunder crashed. "Alhaitham!" He screamed, pulling his knees to his chest.

"I know Kaveh, I know" Cyno's voice echoed in his ears as he let out loud cries, and screams. He felt arms wrap around him, more than one. "We're here, Kaveh" Tighnari's voice was soft, and small.

He let out a small cry.

"I miss him.." he muttered, his voice quivering as he closed his eyes.
