"Samantha Adams, nice to meet you" I tell the man at the door as I take my seat on the front row.
Next to me a woman sits, who looks like she's in her 50s. She is wearing lots of pearls around her neck and huge diamonds hanging from her ear lobes. The jewellery is all real and looks pretty expensive. She is not accompanied by anybody else.
Then a tall, slim, middle-aged man takes the seat next to her. He makes no effort to greet any being. Silently, he looks around the room.
I wait for exactly 56 minutes as the auction goes on. The woman next to me has made a few bids but not succeeded; the man still is quiet. I simply hear his deep breaths.
"Sold to the lady at the back" announces the person on the stage in front, "next we have a rare and expensive jewel that any collector would love. To auction this please present Mrs Smith"
The old woman stands up and walks up to the stage. Meanwhile, I glance at the man. His eyes are narrowing, not being subtle in any way that there is something shady about him. This guy is such an amateur!
There is a box being carried onto the stage and placed on the podium. The man stands up and walks away. I follow.
Every second he gains more and more speed,up to the point where I have to jog a little so I don't lose him.
"Where is the subject now?" I hear through my hidden ear piece. However I can not answer as the man will hear me, "Hanna!?"
I crouch behind a cabinet in the corridor, "shh, he's walking your way" I whisper into my ear piece to Melissa, my partner.
"Going somewhere?" I hear her say out loud. I stand up to reveal the tall slim man running my way.
"Not so fast" I smirk, blocking his way
He tries to push me out of his path but instead he finds himself on the floor as I knock him down. Melissa has somehow got a chair from somewhere and is currently wacking him over the head with it, knocking him out.
"Our job is done" she smiles rubbing her hands together.
"We need to go to the head master's office then" I glance at the - now unconscious - man "the teachers will sort him out"
Together, we walk out of our examination room on the bottom floor and up to the head master's office, on the top floor."Okay girls I watched the whole thing live and I spotted many good things but there were some minor errors that every spy should know not to do. For instance, Hanna, you hid behind an object. This is a BIG no no. Every spy knows to blend into the surroundings as you are less likely to look suspicious that way" says Mr Morgan, the head master.
"She's not a chameleon" Melissa laughs. I had a feeling she'd make a cocky comment, as usual
He glares at her "anyway... Hanna I like how you used a fake name when you introduced yourself, that was very clever. Also, Melissa I liked the way you startled that man and took him by surprise"
"Thank you" we say simultaneously
"Now go back to your dorms, I need to call the paramedics and find out what damage you did to that poor actor"As usual, I have a shower before brushing my teeth and putting my pyjamas on. Then I crawl into my warm bed and wrap the white sheets around me.
"Night" I say
"Goodnight" says Melissa, who also happens to be my roommate. I can't really class her as a friend because I don't do friends. I never have and never will. They're a waste of time in my opinion.
