a nightmares end (goob x shrimpo)

The hugs power

                                        SHRIMPO'S POV.

shrimpo woke up, panting with wide eyes as they dashed around the room. he was in his bed, inside of his room which was messy and trashed. he had just woke up from a nightmare, they always seemed to be about twisteds - mainly dandy. he calmed down, lying his head against the wall before hearing the door on his room click open, not knowing he forgot to lock it. but as his body tensed up, he heard a familiar voice...
an ANNOYING familiar voice..

"hey, Shrimpo... you okay.? i heard you scream?" it was goob. i dont even get why he likes me? its so stupid! but knowing he heard him scream was just embarrassing..
"Im perfectly fine! get out!" he shouted, his tone of voice being more annoyed than usual.
"sorry for not knocking.. i was just worried.." goob had replied, not following what he had JUST said and instead coming closer.
"i said to get out! you fucking stupid bitch!" he'd snap at goob, moving to the edge of his bed and staring angrily. waiting for him to actually leave.
goob backed away with a sad glance, approaching the door to leave "sorry.. i was just going to ask if you wanted a hug.." he left the room, and just as the door clicked shrimpo lied back down and groaned. he felt bad for making goob upset but it was his own fault, "not even daring to knock on my door! how rude! but i guess i get no respect by these stupid bitches these days." he covered his face with his hands and turned over onto his side. he couldnt even go to sleep from the previous nightmare, maybe a hug would of been nice.. whatever. 'i'll just go see astro tomorrow.' he thought, everytime he blinked he felt the urge to go back to sleep but that nightmare of twisted dandy remained in his mind. sliding off the bed he walked over to his door and opened it, looking to the side where Goobs room was located. 'why am i even doing this..' rubbing his arm nervously before knocking on the door, wondering if goob was still awake.

GOOBS POV.

he was just about to doze off before hearing the knock, 'i wonder who that could be.. maybe scraps.?' he pulled off the covers and wandered over there, unlocking his door and opening it. he was quite shocked when he saw Shrimpo, out of all toons here in Gardensview. and before he could even say anything, Shrimpo hugged him... he actually hugged me?
he returned the hug, wrapping his long arms around the short shrimps body. after a couple of seconds Shrimpo squirmed out of his grip and backed away, not even saying a word before he started walking back to his door. Goob was stunned, closing his door and running to his bed with a slight smile, wriggling under the sheets and closing his eyes. the last thing he thought of before sleeping was the slight blush on Shrimpo's face, 'was that. real?'.

the next morning (shrimpos pov)

he had a much better sleep after the hug, no nightmares, no dreams though. not like he even dreamed of having anything.
he jumped out of bed, blinking awake and walking to the door, as he opened it he was met with... scraps!?
"all right, i heard Goobs door open last night. what did you do now." scraps growled, her tail thrashing behind her as if she was thinking he beat him up or something.

"fuck off, Scraps. i dont have time for arguments." he said, shoving her away and beginning to storm off somewhere. leaving Scraps in an annoyed state but she didnt try talking with him anymore, just walked off to her room.
he went down to the main lobby where mostly all the toons were, but he was mostly looking for goob. for no reason! just to try not bump into him! just as he walked around the chatting Toons he found Goob sitting on a bench with Pebble, who was playing with a bone.

as bad as he wanted to approach him, he knew it would be weird for the other toons seeing him so friendly. he turned around bumping once again into scraps.
"i dont know what your doing but get away from my brother. you've made him cry too much to even look at him!" Scraps crossed her arms, leaving him alone and going towards Goob. he felt bad, wait no, why did i feel bad.. its just some stupid toon! a stupid toon that stopped me having another nightmare.. looking around he saw everyone having decent conversations, Rodger talking with teagan and toodles, Tisha with brightney, Vee and astro.. while he was alone, everyone hated him and he hated everyone back. but why did he feel so,, alone?

he sighed, looking down to the floor before walking away. Going to get a cup of water but he walked straight into goob.
"Hey there buddy! You seem lonely!" Goob said cheerfully, his red tail wagging behind him.
"Im not lonely! Just leave me alone..!" He lied, pushing him away but was pulled back in by Goobs long arms. "W-what the! Let me go! You stupid.." he was about to swear, but last time he did it made Goob upset.. he didnt know they were so sensitive to swearing..

"Okay okay! I'll let you go silly!" He plopped him back on the ground, he backed away, heading towards the vending machine before Goob said something once again.
"Hey, u need a drink? I got one i havent drunk yet, a free poppy pop just for ya!" Goob offered, grapping it with his extended arms and holding it out. He took it, popping it open and drinking it fully, savouring every drop of it.. not just because Goob gave it to him!
"Well i gotta get back before Scraps gets overprotective again! Just remember you can come see me anytime, bud!" They said, before Shrimpo could even reply he was gone. Walking away back to where Scraps was.

'Hes too innocent for this place..' Shrimpo thought, glaring at him for a long time before stumbling away. Avoiding any Toons as he walked back to his room and lied on his bed, looking up to the ceiling.

'These nightmares are ending.. and its all because of him..'

Well anyway hope u enjoyed that! My first story so dont expect it to be good... i know i got the characters thingys wrong but please dont kill me in comments.. u can give suggestions for future stories tho! So thanks for reading this little thing! And i might do more soon..- message from Jess

Note from Stoopy - the character designs and actions are different than their normal ones.. goob has clothes and dog features. Shrimpo is a bit less mean and has a shrimp tail.. sorry if it confused you!..
