Me, Rebecca, Dennis and Chandra sat in the living room and watched the music video on the TV while the children were playing together with Kay Kay, Chay and amaiya. I left August a few days ago after that concert and let him continue his work.
"Hope you ready cause ima beat it up"
"So why he gotta touch her?" I said rolling my eyes. Some things I won't ever get used to.
"Chilll, Mya, you know it's just work" Dennis said and I know but still it irked me.
"I should be the one, baby you gone learn that"
"Girl I know your body, know where every curve at"
"Atleast we know who he's talking about and it's definitely not no random" Rebecca said making a fair point.
"I'm just tryna get to know ya"
"Get a little closer, maybe post up, ohh"

My baby looked fine with that hat and his shades. I couldn't help but admire him. Immediately I began missing him all over again.
Once the video ended, I had an incoming call. Only to realize it was my baby calling.
"Hey baybeh" he said with a big smile on his face.
"Hey baby! Congratulations on this video release! I'm so happy for you!" he started smiling even more.
"Thank you baybeh! We already getting a good response! People happy"
"I'm glad baby"
"You gon rap my part for me when I come home? Last time you did, you turned on Mr. Dikta-"
"HEY! Other people in the room!" Rebecca yelled covering her ears.
"Oop sawry" we laughed at her.
I let him catch up with everyone in the room.
"Baby, I got a few days where I'm not doing nothing so ima come home. I miss you and my babies. Where they at anyway?"
"They are in their room playing with Chay and Noonie and em" he nodded. "I definitely won't disturb that then."
"Ima be home in 2 days, wait up for me cause you already what's about to go down" he smirked and I couldn't help but playfully roll my eyes.
"Do it one more time, see what's gone happen to ya when I get home"
"Whatever playa"
He raised his eyebrows in shock then smacked his lips "aight bet, wait till I get home" I laughed
"Mommy!" Anthony came running out. Once he'd seen his daddy on the phone he forgot what he came out for "daddy"
"Ayyee wazzam Ant" he took my phone and ran with it to the room.
"Well there's that, you ain't getting that phone back" Chandra joked.
"They love that man so much" I said
"You gotta admit it though, he has a way with them and you can tell how much he loves them" Rebecca said.
"Agreed, we ain't never had no pops to raise us but he definitely got a handle on this one" Dennis chipped in.
All of us came from broken homes but rest assured that we got a handle on life and parenthood now.
