It finally seemed like life was looking up for me. I finally made it out but it's like the past keeps following me.
Life was sweet, I have my woman by my side, my beautiful children and my career was taking off. What more could a nigga ask for?
"Au...
"You're all set Mrs. Alsina" my make up artist said finishing up my face. I did exactly what August wanted me to do. I came out to his concert in Miami.
I hadn't done a show in almost 2 years. I definitely had the jitters "you'll be fine"
"I know I know, I always get stage fright before I go up"
"I mean atleast you won't be up there by yourself this time" he shrugged. "You're absolutely right"
The door to my dressing room opened "alright Mya, on in 2 minutes" I immediately hopped out the chair and rushed to the side of the stage.
They wired me up and gave me a mic. Shaking the nerves out my body. I could hear the crowd screaming the lyrics out to 'Hold you down'
"30 seconds, wait for August's cue" I nodded
"Alright hol on, I got somebody who sing my part way betta than me. Y'all make some noise for my baby please" he said looking at me.
I got the next cue so I started singing and walking out to the center of the stage where August was.
"Live an expensive life, and I'm just getting started" the crowd started screaming and I immediately embraced the feeling.
Looking August dead in the eye smiling "okay" he said in the mic hyping me up.
"I get instant hype" facing the crowd and then turning back to Aug. "Tell em why"
"Cause I'm forever your lady" I blushed as he smiled, licking his lips at me. I shook my head at him because he knew exactly what he was doing. Then he laughed at my face, came behind me and wrapped his arm around my neck "forever my lady" he sang. At this point the crowd was going crazy.
"Hold you down, hold you down"
"Girl you held me up when I was down and out girl"
"Ima hold you down like I'm supposed to" he said holding my hand. Kissing it quickly "Real nigga I know you, real nigga I know you" we sang together looking back to the crowd, we sang the chorus.
"I'm on my way" We all sang. I was so focused on August I forgot everybody was there. Chris, Future, khaled and Jeremih. "I'm the one that's gone hold you down" "I'm the one that's gone hold you down"
"Everybody make some noise for my wife" August said making everyone scream at the top of their lungs. He turned to hug me and kiss me. "I'm proud of you" he said before releasing me.

"Alright nigga, y'all making me feel bad being single now" Jeremih said in the mic.
"Shiiiid, making me wanna make up with my ex right now" Chris Joked. We all laughed.
"I second that statement" Future said making the joke worse.
As they walked off stage, I was bout to make my way too before August pulled my arm.
