The young couple stared down at their little girl in worry. "Why can she not control her shifts?"
The mother was hysterical. The man shook his head.
"I have no idea, it's like she can't decide what she wants to be. This has never happened before." They both glance at their daughter again, watching her as she switches from a panther, cheetah and beyond more. "She's not suppose to be shifting until she's sixteen, she's six years early. I don't know how much her body can take."
The little girl cried out in agony, a mix between a human cry an a yowl. The dad knelt down beside his daughter. "Honey I know it hurts but you have to pick one form so this all stops. Your body can't handle it. Pick something small, something that won't cause you so much harm.
It seemed like hours later when in reality it was only a couple of minutes. The little girl shifted into a small black and white kitten and then the shifting ceased. The mother put her fist to her mouth and sobs escaped past her lips. She rushed over and knelt beside her little princess. Her little Kia.
"Will she be able to shift back?" Her eyes never left her daughter. Her poor baby. The father shook his head and embraced his wife, they both stare down at their daughter. "Only time can tell."
