For the following week, Damon doesn't leave my side.

He's started to pick me up again for school and drop me home. Sometimes, he even spends the night watching romance movies with me. Of course, we always finish the night exploring each other's fantasies.

I never thought I would crave someone as much as I do for him.

    He's everything I didn't think I wanted but everything I needed.

All I've been thinking about is him—my addiction.

I'm addicted to every part of Damon.

The way he showcases his care for me and only me. The way he looks at me or the way he genuinely smiles when he's with me.

I tell myself I shouldn't trust him, but I do.

He saved me not only from the incident at the club but also from myself.

I don't need to drink with him. I don't feel like I'm falling or drowning. I still have damning thoughts, but they are mixed with hope—a hope connected to a future.

He sets me free in ways I never dreamed were possible.

    He's mine, and I'm his.

I walk into class with Annabelle by my side. I came to school with Annabelle to have some much-needed girl time. We stopped at a cafe before coming here, making us almost late, but it was worth it.

Damon, Storm, and Ace sit in the back of the classroom. When they see us coming, their eyes turn to us.

"If it isn't my two favorite girls in the world," Ace calls.

I roll my eyes and walk over, watching as Damon elbows him in the side and Ace grunts a string of curses.

I sit down next to Damon with a smile playing on my lips. All of last night, he was sending me crude messages. I might have ignored him to taunt him into punishing me. We both know I enjoy it.

He leans over and whispers in my ear, "How about we skip class so I can punish you for ignoring me?"

My cheeks heat, but I knew this was coming. I look around to make sure no one is listening.
