Hands startle me from the haze

Hands startle me from the haze.

They snake their way around my waist, pulling me firmly against their hard body. I would typically move out of their grasp, but there is something about their possessive hold on my hips that I like. I grind my ass back, feeling his hard length pressing against my hip.

I want to look up but don't want to ruin this moment. I want to let go into the haze. Let go into the feeling of our bodies grinding against each other.

Ezra has left. He had some Serpant business to take care of. Whatever he had to do must be important because he usually wouldn't leave me by myself. I insisted I wanted to stay when he told me he would drop me home. He seems concerned about my latest habit, but he can't stop me, and he knows that.

I know I'm headed down a dangerous path, but I can't stop the motion. It's better than the alternative. It's better than feeling.

His hot breath fans across the skin on my neck, and he licks the shell of my ear, making a fire erupt all over my skin.

I should stop this before it goes too far.

I'm about to crane my head up in his direction before his thumb and forefinger latch onto my chin, keeping it in place. His touch does something to my body, making fireworks erupt inside. A feeling so strong starts to tighten low in my belly, causing my toes to curl in my heels.

His lips brush my ear, and he whispers in a sinister, hushed tone. "Hello, Princess."

That voice. That sinful voice. God no.

I try to twist in his grip, but he has me immobile with his grip on my chin and waist. Why does his touch have to feel so good? My heartbeat starts bursting out of control.

    Thump.

    Thump.

    Thump.

"Don't think about running from me."

I stop moving to the music, my body falling deathly still. What is he doing?

"Does your boyfriend make you tremble like this?"

Oh god, he saw me with Ezra. Ezra is nothing more than a friend—a brother. But he doesn't know that. An idea comes to my mind. Maybe he will leave me alone if he thinks I'm with Ezra. He must know who he is. Everyone does.

"He'll hurt you if he sees your hands on me."

    "Answer the question, Princess."

    "He... He does."

I stumble with my reply. My heart rate continues to skyrocket, beating uncontrollably. A light layer of sweat takes over my skin.

His presence is suffocating me, owning me. Dangerously so.
