Revelation

After a night of tossing and turning, Sara woke up determined to give the project her all. She knew this film could be a turning point in her career, she resolves to focus on.

Kartik, meanwhile, had also made up his mind. The script is excellent, and the role is something he had been wanting to sink his teeth into for a while. He decided to commit to the project as well.

“Hello Sir, this is Sara” she said as Luv Sir received the phone.

“Oh Sara...how're you?"

"I am good Sir, how'bout you?"

"Yeah I'm well...tell me"

"Sir I want to tell you that I am on for the movies and can't let myself to lose such an opportunity. So I called you" she said in a breathe. Though it’s been a long time since she entered in this industry still the butterflies in her stomach couldn’t calm down while signing a film"

"Great to hear from you. I wanted to discuss the cast for the project,” the director replies enthusiastically. “I’m thrilled to have you onboard! Come to my office today at 5 pm sharp to sign some official documents"

“Thank you! I’m really excited about this opportunity. I will be there” she responds, forcing herself to maintain a professional tone despite of the overwhelmed happiness.

And after her, Kartik, on the other hand, had agreed, intrigued by the character he was offeretoo Sara
As fate would have it, they both called the director to confirm their participation within minutes of each other.

"Dinu trust me yeh dono silver screen pe dhamaka kar denge" Luv sir said.

"Paar kya dono saath main ayenge?" Dinu sighed.

"Thoda convince karenge dono ko. I know I am being a bit greedy paar audience demand ke liye thoda selfish hona banta hain. After all they got on the trending page when they last met at a party or somewhere"

"Haan woh bhi hain. Baki sab bhi aaj ane wale hain?" Dinu asked.

"Nahi aaj baas main leads. Agar in dono ne haan kiya to 1 mahine baad se workshop. I know it's a bit rush but still"

"Ok"

The other cast will be Nina Gupta and Gajraj Rao as Kartik's character's parents. Aparsakti Khurrana as Kartik's best friend. Sharad Kelkar in negative role and Paresh Rawal in a negative comedic role.

Kartik arrived at the director’s office first. He was seated comfortably in front of the director Luv Sir and Producer Dinu discussing the role and the vision for the film. They’re deep into conversation when the door behind them opened.

Kartik, sensing movement, turned around in his chair. His eyes widen in surprise, and for a moment, both of them were stunned into silence. The air in the room thickens with the sudden, unexpected tension.

Sara walked in, her heart beating a little faster as she stepped into the office but now it could give her a heart attack. As she closed the door behind her, looked up and stopped at her pace.

Sara?" Kartik managed to say, his voice tinged with disbelief.

"Kartik?" Sara echoed, equally shocked. She took a hesitant step forward, trying to process the situation.

"Tum dono nahi jante the na?" Dinu said and wanted to slap himself mentally. As they gave him a weird look of disbelief, he said, "Matlab hume laga tha ki ekbar confirm kar loge dono fir batayenge"

Dinu nervously laughed. Kartik only could look at her or precisely saying adored her by his eyes. She was as usually looking prettier than the last time.

Sara sat beside Kartik silently. They exchanged a glance, both trying to hide the mix of emotions surging within them—confusion, anxiety, and the undeniable spark that still lingered between them.

Kartik cleared his throat, regaining his composure. "So, we’re... opposite each other in this film?"

"Yes!" Luv Ranjhan exclaimed enthusiastically,  "I think you two will make a fantastic on-screen pair. The chemistry between the characters is crucial, and I think you both have what it takes. I have seen love aaj kal and trust me you guys together is a great treat to audience's eyes"

"Yeah I agree with it and I think you guys have loved the script and maintain professionalism in working"

Sara forced a smile, nodding slowly. "Of course" she says, more to herself than to anyone else.

Kartik added a yes.

Their minds are racing, trying to figure out how to navigate this new, complicated situation.

The meeting ended with both of them agreeing to start soon and signed. As they left the cabin, walking side by side in awkward silence on the corridor, Sara finally broke the silence.

"Well...yeh excepted nahi tha"

"Mujhe bhi nahi tha" he said in a cold voice.

"Tum upset ho?" she asked though she felt herself cringe asking a question like that.

"Tum comfortable ho?" he asked again not looking at her.

"I still want to work with you Kartik but if you.."

"Me too. I will be glad working with Sara" he replied quickly not wanting her to have any doubt risen in her mind that in any way, he didn’t want where he was dying to work with her.

She smiled as her heart swelled with happiness. How oddly she felt the same like she felt when Imtiaz Sir said that Kartik would be the main lead opposite her.

He forwarded his hand to shake hands with her but to his surprise, she hugged him. It's not like she never did after they parted their ways. They did many times but every time felt special. He closed his eyes at her body pressed to him. She inhaled his cologne that she could never get over. They broke the hug and went to different directions to step outside separately.

"Coffee tomorrow?" suddenly his voice stopped her pace and she turned.

"Will call you tonight" she replied and smiled.

They turned a few time just to have a glance of each other but never knew that they both did.

I think I am going on in a bit boring way. But there'll be two stories going on. Firstly the movie story and the real life story so hope so you guys will enjoy. Btw how's my cast choice?
