Glassy Eyes

Glassy eyes
So confusing
Do they sparkle of beauty and innocence
Or of pain and haunting
Glass eyes dolls carry so well reflect all your hopes and dreams
Glass eyes you carry so broken cracked leaking the emotions you can not utter
Glassy eyes charming and handsome
Glassy eyes aloof and naive
Glassy eyes spilling over with questions
Why, how, when?
Why did they break the heart so valiantly painted on your sleeve
How did they become the cause of torment when they were your bringing of peace
When did they turn their backs on your tears spilling out
After all, glassy eyes reflect
And they can't stand the reflection of the monster in your glass eyes
