-Eddie's POV-

I left the house and locked the door. Delilah jumped into the front seat and stared out the window while I got the engine started.

Eddie: are you ok?

I looked at her, however she didn't move. She just nodded, she didn't look at me at all. I started driving, I kept having my eyes on her for a second then back on the road.

Delilah: do you like me?

I kept one hand on the wheel as my eyes widened in shock.

Eddie: what do you mean?

She turned to look at me

Delilah: do you have feelings for me, romantically?

I hesitated, I didn't know what to say but I couldn't lie to her.

Eddie: yea, I've been in love with you since I met you

Delilah laughed. I didn't look back at her as I had to concentrate on driving

Delilah: I've liked you since then too.

I blushed hard, I had to pull over, then I looked back at her after doing so.

Delilah: Eddie, why are we stopping?

I looked at her with a smile, a loving expression formed on my face as I touched her cheek and leaned in to kiss her.

Eddie: do you want to be mine?

Delilah smiled, she kissed me again.

Eddie: so that's a yes?
Delilah: yes

5 minutes later: I started driving again, until I reached family video. Delilah kissed me then got out. I smiled as I watched her walk away

Eddie: she's so cute.

//time skip//

-Robin's POV-

I was working at Family Video with Delilah and Steve when suddenly we heard an announcement on the store's intercom.

"We're closing the store for today due to a sudden lockdown. Everyone go home and stay safe"

I was shocked, I looked over at the others.

Steve: that doesn't sound good.
Robin: we should head home. You coming?

I looked over at Delilah, she nodded as we left the store and drove home in Steve's car.

As soon as we reached the house, Dustin greeted us with a worried expression.

Dustin: get inside, we don't know how long we'll be stuck here.

I looked at him confused.

Robin: what do you mean?
Dustin: I'll tell you in a minute. Just get inside
Robin: ok, ok

Steve locked his car then followed us inside. Chance slammed the door shut and locked it immediately after everyone was in.

Steve: what's going on?

Eddie hugged Delilah, ignoring the question meanwhile Dustin joined the hug.

Delilah: ok seriously, what's going on?

Dustin let go of Delilah then took a deep breath.

Dustin: did any of you hear the news?
Steve: no Dustin, we've been working today.

Steve snapped, I could tell from his voice that he was stressed. Then again, so was I but I tried to keep it cool.

Chrissy: I heard nothing, I had cheer practice today

Chrissy put in suddenly

Chance: I was meant to have a basketball game today but that got canceled.

Chance added, trying to relate but none of them were helping, Max rolled her eyes at them meanwhile Eddie stepped in.

Eddie: dude, we heard nothing. Just tell us.

Dustin nodded.

Dustin: ok so what I'm trying to say is...
Steve: what? Dustin! What?

Steve interrupted, making him flinch.

Delilah: Steve, let him finish.
Dustin: well, there's been a serious case of a new disease, spreading across Hawkins.

Delilah immediately wrapped her arms around Eddie and started burying her head into his chest.

Eddie: what? You're joking right?

Dustin shook his head.

Dustin: I wish I was, Eddie but I'm not.
Eddie: oh Jesus Christ.

He started to panic and squeeze Delilah while she wouldn't let go of him.

Delilah: Eds? I can't breathe.
Eddie: I'm sorry sweetheart.

He didn't stop hugging Delilah but his grip loosened as she couldn't breathe.

Chance: so what can we do?

I shrugged.

Robin: I think what's going to happen is all of us, are going to stay home and not go anywhere until this outbreak ends.

Max: well I wonder how long that'll take.

Max said sarcastically.

Steve: probably a long time.
Delilah: well this should be fun, have nothing to do for weeks or months.

Eddie shook her.

Eddie: don't say that, sweetheart. Why don't we cuddle?

Delilah laughed at his suggestion.

Delilah: Eddie, you're so cute.

Steve pretended to gag when Delilah started kissing Eddie.

Robin: ok, ok calm down lovebirds.

I laughed suddenly, but then everyone went sad again.

Chance: if we can't leave the house then what about food? We'll need it if we want to survive.

Chrissy grabbed onto his jacket as she started to panic again

Chrissy: babe don't say that, please.

I gave Chance the side eye then turned to Dustin with a serious look.

Robin: Dusty?
Dustin: it's ok, if we can't leave the house. We should get food delivered.
Steve: and what about drinks?
Dustin: yea, drinks too. And medicine

Eddie looked up at him

Eddie: really? So we'll be ok?
Dustin: hopefully, yes.

-Chrissy's POV-

A few hours had passed, it started to get dark, everyone was sat in front of the TV in the living room, cuddled up to one another with warm shared blankets. We didn't play games or watch movies like we normally would. Instead we just ordered pizza and watched the news with a few bottles of cider and coke.

I rested my head on Chance's shoulder as I cuddled under the blanket with him, Max was leaning against me as she was scared. We all were, we didn't want to leave each other.

I looked over at Delilah, she was cuddling up with Eddie and Robin under another shared blanket. Dustin and Steve cuddling on our sofa bed as we all stared at the TV screen, listening carefully to the news as they told us more about this scary disease. I just hoped everything would be ok.
