She stopped him. "No, I don't want to."
Her rejection left Chase shocked as he exclaimed, "So you did like Jeremy when we were together?"
"I never did, but he was there for me, even though I fell for you and left him. He was there for me and very nice."
"So you knew that we would end up breaking up, and he was your backup."
"I never said that. I fought and cried for you not to dump me, but you refused. This was all on you."
"The way you were treating me did not match your words."
"Why does that matter? You did not love me and I was just for sex."
"I see, still mad about that."
"Just like you're still mad about Jeremy, I guess."
"Fine, fair point, so you want to rub it in my face. That is why you kissed him in front of my place."
"No, you're worse than me, bringing girls over and having sex with them. You know well that I would hear."
"It's my place and secondly, am I not allowed to have sex?"
"So let me also do what I want. Am I not allowed to kiss or have sex too?"
"You are going to have sex with Jeremy?" "Obviously, when our relationship progresses or if we are on the spur of the moment or passion."
"I see. You're really going for it." "That's none of your business."
"You're right."
Chase stormed off, and she went to her room, her kiss with Jeremy was magical, but her mind kept on going to Chase.
Was he jealous? Did he miss her or was he simply wanting power over her? But he was never upset with the other girls that he had sex with.
The following evening she heard a glass being smashed and wondered what was going on? She went out slowly and saw Chase.
His hand was cut and dripping some blood. He had smashed the table and some glasses, and he was still holding a bottle of whiskey.
"Are you okay?"
"Why do you care, Storm?"
"I do care, okay! That is why I came out."
He sighed, "Thanks then."
"What happened?" "Nothing that I can't take care of."
"I know that, Chase, but maybe I can help."
"I don't want to talk about it okay?"
She did not say anymore, but she just sat down and did not say a word, Chase was drinking the whiskey as if it was nothing.
Whatever was going on was very serious, and his head was bowed.
"You don't have to sit here with me."
"I'm not going anywhere Chase, you can carry on with your drinking. I'm not saying a word."
He carried on drinking, and she just sat there, Storm did not want him to feel alone, she wanted to be comfort to him.
Even with what she had gone through, what he had made her gone through, she still wanted to be there for him.
She convinced herself that it was because he was her first love, and that is why it was difficult for her to not feel any pain for him.
Storm looked at him again and he was gulping down the whiskey like it was a normal beverage and she went to the kitchen and got some water.
"Here, I got you some water."
"I don't want water."
"Is there anything you need?"
"I want to fuck you."
"You're drunk Chase. You don't know what you're saying."
"A drunk mind is a sober heart."
"Never thought I would hear you being melodramatic."
"Stop bothering me with your bullshit."
"I can leave then Chase."
"You're not going anywhere! You're staying with me."
Storm felt as if his words had some hidden meaning to them. "After we capture who is out to get me, I'm leaving."
"To Jeremy?"
"Yes, I need to move on just like you have to other girls." "Then go ahead, I don't need you anyway."
"I know that already."
He carried on drinking and hoped that at some point he would drink some water.
