"Who was that?"

"No one."

"I'm not going to ask you twice."

"I really don't, but I could sense them."

"What did they say?"

"That I have some power and they will tell me later on."

"You aren't planning to go alone, do you?"

"I don't know."

"You're not that fucking stupid."

"I don't want to fight now, Chase."

"Don't you remember that someone is after you and you were injured?"

"I know that, but maybe it is not them."

"You're coming back to stay with me."

"I don't want.............."

"I don't give a shit. I need to watch you 24/7 so you don't some stupid shit."

"No."

"What did you say to me?"

"NO! You want to use your title and position to bully me. I don't want to be around you anymore and I want to move on from you."

As Chase was about to come to her, she double-lunged and landed a blow. It caught him off-guard, her training was paying off.

He looked at her with a smirk on his face and came to her as she tried again. He had her pinned on the ground. "Those work on others but not from me."

She felt his hard-on.' "Are you kidding me, Chase? This is turning you on."

"Yes, and the fact that I can see your breasts."

Storm remembered that she was wearing a white tank top, and it was showing her breasts and her nipples were hard.

"Get off me!"

Chase did, and he pulled her up. "Now let's go get your clothes?"

"Now?"

"Yes, who knows what stupid shit you will try?"

She got to her place and woke up Meghan and Paige and told them what had happened and they both grinned at her when she said that she would be living with Chase again.

"This is not the time."

She went to her room, picked out what was needed, and headed outside where Chase waited.

He took her bag and headed to his place. She did not say a word and was angry at him, even though he had good intentions, the way he conveyed that was horrible.

"I thought you loved me and wanted to be with me?"

"That was when I thought that someday you would feel the same about me."

"Fair point. When this is all done, I will send you back."

"Do you even have a clue as to who is it?"

"We have narrowed it down, but now with the bait, we should be able to get them."

"Bait? I'm the bait?"

"Obviously."

"Wait, what if everything does not go according to plan?"

"You don't have to worry about that. I would never let you get taken away from me."

She looked at him then. His words had a lot of emotion or he did not want anyone to suffer because of her.

"But what if......."

"I would kill for you."

"You would?"

His jaw was clenched. "I would in a heartbeat."

"Thanks."

"I won't let anything happen to you, you don't have to be worried."

"What about you?"

"It does not. Everyone's safety comes first, even if certain consequences would be done."

Storm had stopped and ran. She hugged him from behind and he stopped walking. "Everyone's safety matters. I don't want something to happen to you. They want me. You need to be here to help everyone."

Chase scoffed. "You don't have to worry about me."

His words had come out hollow and knew that they did not hold any weight to them, she hugged him tighter and rested her face on his back, "Fine, but I will not let you go down on your own and I will not let you."

Her voice was strained and Chase dropped her bag, turned around, and held her in his arms. He held her tightly and knew that he was reassuring her.

Knowing that he would kill for her and not let them take her was more than enough for her. He showed her that he cared about her differently.
