Lisa heaved a deep breath, approaching the elevator.

Chaeyoung was petrified after she heard that Lisa had canceled the photoshoot. It would be a huge loss for their budget, so she rushed through the meeting room.

Lisa didn't want people lecturing or shouting at her for her sudden decision, so she fled, running as fast as possible so Chaeyoung couldn't find her.

She pressed the down button on the elevator, thinking of what food she'd eat later.

Hmm... maybe something salty? I'm craving for someth-

Suddenly, the elevator opened, revealing her stepbrother, Taehyung, on the other side of the elevator door.

+-----+

"How's Jennie?" Taehyung asked, blushing at the thought of his senior crush.

Lisa jolted, gasping as her steps stopped. Taehyung noticed, turning back to face his sister.

Lisa and Jennie already had something, but she couldn't find a way to tell her brother about it because she knew he was head over heels for Jennie.

Like, look at him.

"She's very pretty upclose, right?" He sighed. "You're very lucky."

It feels like I'm betraying him.

---

Taehyung launched himself towards Lisa's bed, making himself comfortable.

"I'm hungry." Taehyung whined, holding Lisa's wrist. "Cook me something."

Lisa snapped out of Taehyung's grasp, glaring at her brother. "Just buy."

Taehyung pouted, punching his fists on the bed while Lisa went to the kitchen to cook her own food.

He lay down on the bed when suddenly, his eyes laid on a polaroid picture that was framed next to his sister's bed.

It was Lisa and Jennie. He gasped, admiring Jennie's beauty, feet swinging in the air like an idiot he was.

His eyes traveled down the picture, where he noticed Lisa's handwriting. He reached for it, squinting to see what was written.

His smile suddenly dropped, shaking as he placed the frame back on top of the cabinet. His eyes raged with fire as he clenched his jaw.

[ily, nini]

"I'm betrayed", he repeatedly thought.

---

Taehyung placed a folder on the desk. He was clenching his fit the whole time, eyes enraged with hatred.

"What is this?"

Taehyung looked at Mr. Kim, smirking.

"I didn't know your daughter likes girls, Mr. Kim."

Chaeyoung put down her glass of water, drooling as she saw the amount of food on the table.

She was about to devour a chicken wing, but she realized the gloom on Lisa's face.

Placing down her chicken wing, she sighed. "What happened?"

She wiped her hand with a tissue. "I'm still not forgiving you about the photoshoot."

"I saw Taehyung earlier." Lisa stated, staring at the chicken that was in front of her.

Chaeyoung's brows raised, mouthing an "oops". She started eating, saying "I guess he wanted to meet with his soon to be fiancee."

Lisa clicked her tongue, rolling her eyes. "They're both hypocrites for even..." She sighed, "...appearing in my life again."

Chaeyoung hummed, agreeing while munching her chicken.

"Now that you're almost over what happened, then they came back." Chaeyoung raised her index finger and shook it. "I don't think it's coincidental. They purposely did that to make you feel like shit once again!" She fumed.

The latter only sighed. "If that's really the case..." Lisa munched on a french fry. "...I won't let them deceive me."

"It's been two days." Mr. Brucshweiler heaved a sigh. "Where is my daughter?"

His secretary, Kai, who was assigned to find Lisa, could only look on the ground.

"She isn't on her house." He said, touching his bruised lip. "I tried to go inside, but her friend..." He scratched his nape, embarrassed.

"She punched me in the face."

Chaeyoung was the only one who was there when Kai tried to get in on Lisa's house with the keys that Mr. Bruschweiler gave him. Lisa asked her if she could look after her house for her, she agreed.

"But she knew where Lisa was." Kai added, placing pictures on his table. "She was at her grandmother's house. She's safe, sir."

Mr. Bruschweiler looked at the pictures. It was Lisa and his mom, sitting on the rooftop. His daughter was crying, holding a familiar stuff toy while leaning on Mrs. Bruschweiler.

"Look, dad! She gave me this!"

Who was dating my daughter again?"

"Kim Jennie."

He mouthed and "oh", leaning on his chair.

His eyes suddenly widened at the thought that crossed his mind.

"How's your daughter?" Mr. Bruschweiler asked, looking at the picture of Mr. Kim and Jennie on the latter's desk.

Mr. Bruschweiler is a major investor in Kim Enterprises. They were considered business partners and close friends since college. He helped Mr. Kim built the foundation of his business when he was only starting, so he is a major asset to the enterprise.

"She had been out of her mind lately." He heaved a sigh, disappointed.

"Might as well end these disappointments early on." says Mr. Kim, giving his business partner a sly smile.

---

Mr. Bruschweiler slammed the door open to Mr. Kim's office. He stood up, attempting to greet the raging Bruschweiler in front of him.

He plunged, tightly gripping his collar that forced his back to crash on the wall.

"What did you do to Jennie?" He growled, clenching his jaw.

Kim's eyes were wide as saucers, trying to break free from his grip.

"I don't..." He pushed Bruschweiler, pushing back his hair.

"...Want my daughter to be a disappointment!"

"Dating is a disappointment for you?!"

"They're both girls, Marco!"

Bruschweiler took a step towards Kim, letting out a scoff. "You know who's more of a disappointment?"

"The person who made his daughter feel like a disappointment when in fact she is not."

Push.

"The person who pressured his wife that led her to death!"

Push.

"Now, tell me who's the disappointing Kim here." He scowled, "Because as far as I know, the Kim I look down most to... is you."
