How did this even happen...?

Lisa thought while she pressed her lips together in a straight line, looking at Jennie from afar in the studio. She discreetly punched the table, suddenly jolting by how painful it was. Several people looked at her in confusion, while she replied with an awkward smile.

Jennie was being dressed by stylists, brushing her cheeks with blush while the hairstylist fixed her ponytail.

This is bad.

"What do you mean I won't be able to work here again?" Lisa asked in disbelief, standing up.

Her father nonchalantly leaned in his chair, reading an article in a newspaper. "I'm passing the studio to Tae-"

"I'll do everything." Mr. Bruschweiler removed the newspaper from his sight, revealing a kneeling Lisa in front of him, hands together as if her life depended on it.

He placed the newspaper on his desk. "The canceled project." Lisa lifted her head to look at her father.

"I want you to work on it." He opened his drawer, picked up a folder, and gave it to Lisa. "The budgeting team isn't pleased with your sudden decision."

"Planning without the consultation of everyone isn't really a leader material, eh?"

Lisa can only stare at the folder. She thought that she had escaped hell.

I guess it was just temporary after all.

"I thought you were close with Ms. Kim." Her father suddenly mentioned.

Her breath hitched at the mention of her name, ringing in her ears. She stood up, placing the folder on the table with a huge forced smile on her face.

"People change."

Sandara's eyes hopped from Jennie to Lisa, feeling the tension between their eye contact. She chuckled nervously, clapping her hands, breaking the ice between them.

"So..." Sandara broke the silence.

But the tension continued. They stared at each other, with Jennie showing a smile while Lisa had her arms crossed.

"We'll continue the project. I'm sorry for the inconvenience." Lisa spoke.

Sandara was about to speak when she was cut off by Lisa, who stood in her seat. "If you have any more questions, call my assistant, Chaeyoung." I need to get out of here.

She abruptly fled from the scene, forgetting her purse on the table.

Jennie and Sandara had no time to react. They watched the tall photographer as she dashed away from the cafeteria. Jennie's smile dropped, sighing.

"Oh." Sandara grabbed Lisa's purse on the table, showing it to Jennie. Sandara smirked, giving the purse to Jennie.

"Fix your dumb decisions while the universe is letting you, Jennie." She playfully raised her brows.

Jennie's face suddenly lit up. Her lips curved into a smile, facing Sandara with a determined face.

"Where's Lisa's office?"

---

Lisa was peacefully skimming through the documents she had to finish. Her thoughts were fixated on a certain someone while she was doing her work. Not only during working but almost every single breathing second.

She still looks ethereal.

She realized what she was thinking, eyes widening. She shook her head, hitting it with both her hands.
