"Bea? Can you hear me?!" pleaded a deep voice of a man. I couldn't see him but by the sound I could tell that he was terribly hurt emotionally. I couldn't point out if I encountered him from somewhere.
"Beatrix! Stay with me!" The voice echoed in that dark place I was at, making me dizzy. My head was a huge rock, my eardrums bursting. "I'm sorry, Bea! I really am!"
In another direction, emanated a voice, but this time it was of a woman. I also don't recall meeting her some place. "No! Please..."
"I don't want..."
The woman's words were articulated in an aggravated way, which I had no clue of. They also seemed to be cut off for a reason, which was really intriguing.
All the voices in unison grew louder. No matter how I covered my ears, they succeeded in penetrating through my brain.
Are these the voices of ghosts? Why do they haunt me? Most importantly, how do I relate to them?
Suddenly, the ground that I was standing on, swallowed me whole. There was nothing that I could hold on to. The brawl against the forces of earth was obviously a disadvantage to me.
I screamed but no voice came out of my mouth. Everything went really dark...
My breathing was heavy and my pajamas were soaked in sweat. The lights from the hallway switched on immediately. Next thing, my door swung open and in entered my mother. The feeling of worry washed over her, evident from the look on her face.
"Are you okay Mija?" She anxiously checked if I was hurt in any way.
"It was just a bad dream. Don't worry, Mom." I assured. I tried my best to fake a smile to be more persuasive. "A glass of water will do though."
"Are you sure you're okay?"
I nod to relieve her worries. It wasn't like the spirits of my dream were real, hence I was safe. Mom brought me a glass of water from downstairs, then she went back to her room after making sure that I really was okay.
Slumber found no way in me, so I decided to email Amir. Yeah, the time within which I was doing that was concerning but I felt so lonely.
Perhaps he could help me figure out the nightmare that I had.
On second thought, I won't tell him about it. I took in a deep breath as I began typing.

Hey, Beatrix here. What's popping? I know it's pretty late but I was wondering if we could hangout tomorrow. Preferably after my therapy session 'cause I'll have nothing to do afterwards. This time, it's on me. So, yeah.
Hope that you'll be free.
Bye.
My finger clicked on the send button. My stomach was queasy all of a sudden. I took it to be nervousness.
Why am I this anxious yet he's my friend? Yes, I know our friendship hasn't been for long but still...
Part of me thinks that he doesn't appreciate me as his friend. Another thinks that he really values our friendship. Of course, the first part is the dominant one.
Or maybe I'm just overthinking.
I shutted down my laptop and forced myself to get some sleep. I managed to fight off those thoughts
