Justus Spencer-
"Do you think I would look sexy with short hair?" Jen asked as she pulled her hair up into a messy bun.
I laid across her bed and scrolled through my phone occasionally double tapping on a woman's Instagram.
"How the fuck am I suppose to know?" I questioned and she punched me in the chest.
I laughed and sat up seeing she was being genuine and really wanted advice.
"He's not over his ex. It's really not you, that nigga has issues" I said with a shrug.
At the mention of Gianni's ex she slumped her shoulders and sat down next to me on the bed.
Jen rested her head on my shoulder and I shifted growing uncomfortable at the physical touch.
"You got bigger shit than that nigga to worry about. You the weakest link now, you let the new girl take your spot" I taunted.
Jen went to hit me again but this time I caught her hand and brought it down to her side.
"I'm done focusing on him. Ready to make this money" she assured.
"You sure?" I asked raising an eyebrow and she nodded and attempted to shake off how she was feeling.
I folded my arms and glanced towards the balcony where Seleah was sitting and smoking a fat ass blunt.
She had a hood novel in her lap and seemed at peace with everything going on.
Jen grabbed my face and turned it so I was looking at her. I sighed already knowing what she was about to say.
"What's the deal with you and Paige" she questioned referring to my ex. I squinted my eyes and made a face of annoyance at the mention of her.
"Fuck Paige" I mumbled attempting to shut down the conversation with Jen before she could take it there.
My ex and I had a complicated relationship and by that I meant, I cheated on her a lot. She cheated back though and we went back and forth a lot with being off and on.
Along the way there was death threats, moms who got cussed out and beat up - who wants to deal with that fuck shit?
I stood up and stretched my arms out and Jen dropped the conversation. I headed towards the door to leave and when I opened it I ran right into Gianni who was preparing to knock.
"Nigga damn!" He yelled. I chuckled as he backed up and looked me over like he was suspicious of my motives.
"What you doing?" I asked returning the look and he shrugged like he wasn't gonna answer to me about shit.
"I don't got time for this shit" I muttered as I bumped passed him. Gianni fell into sync with me and followed me as I headed towards the elevator.
"I been meaning to talk to you anyway"
I blinked a few times unsure on if I wanted to talk to him or know what he was going to say. After being cussed out by my mama multiple times and then blocked, I was feeling a bit weak at the thought of something else going wrong in my life.
