A U T H O R

Damian felt his breath getting stuck in his throat when he felt himself standing near the river bank almost ready to kill himself...but will it be like a accident then.

The question lingered in his mind and he knew he can't die like this...

He had to make his death look like accident if he is actually doing this but how will he do it and on top of that will he even do it.

Was he willing to take his life.

He is still somehow managing to help them but it's not enough he had to do this. His eyes lingered on the water flowing in a tranquil rhythm, a simple contrast to his inner turmoil.

He sat down, his breathing calming down a little as his thoughts drifted to his bee. A soft smile made it's way to his lips as he felt his mood lifting.

It was almost evening when he finally decided to go back, he knew he couldn't afford to do this especially when his mother was there waiting for him.

He stood up staring at the beauty of nature before taking a deep breath and turning around, the air around him was still and silent. No alive being any nearer to his sight.

There was a pure silence which felt comforting to him in some way.

His eyes lids felt heavy as he walked his way back home. His legs were hurting from the weakness he had been feeling these days yet he was stubborn to go for a healthy and time-ly check-up.

He walked till he felt all his energy draining out. Stopping by a dark alley he stared at the evening sun which begin to hide behind the blanket of sky and moon which started to take over the night.

He sighed and forced himself to walk to his home, he wasn't ready to hear those taunts again.

But did he had any options.

No.

He did not.

He sighed and stuffed his hands in his pocket and started walking with his leftover energy. His eyes observed the each turn he was passing by feeling tired already.

Ekaksh stood there with a blank expression glued to his face, overwhelmed by the feelings. He felt like dieing right at that moment. His heart beat was rosing up time to time making him breathless.

His eyes searched for one person and he felt like killing himself when he didn't find her.

He was standing outside her cabin since past one hour and she still didn't showed up making him worry.

Why wasn't she here till now.

It was already late.

His anxiety grew when he noticed it was almost time for his parents check and doctor itself was not present till now.

Rubbing his palms together he sat down on a rough seat of hospital his eyes devoid any emotions. His thoughts continued to drift to worst possibilities even after the assurance she had given yesterday.

One hour passed and he still sat there waiting when he heard heel clicking sound, he raised his head and saw her coming.

Anger in him bubble up seeing her all care-free while his parents were not even able to breath properly. He took a deep breath as he waited for her in her cabin.

"Doctor.."

He called out as soon as she entered inside and she looked at him with a concerned look.

"Ahh Mr. Sharma..you here."

He grabbed her hands pulling her closer, their chests were pressed together when he pinned her to the near-by wall of her cabin. Their faces so close to eachother that there breathes were mingling.

Astrid stared at him wide eyed while Ekaksh glared at her. She gulped the lump forming in her throat as she studied his expressions.

Being unable to say anything she gently tried to push him but he grabbed her hands and gritted his teeth in anger.

"Where were you huh?"

His question was a direct threat to her and she knew it.

"I-"

"You?"

"I was busy..."

She looked down feeling nervous by the closed proximity they were sharing. He looked at her with a intense gaze, burning her under his murderous stares.

"So...you had much important work than these patients lying on the hospital bed waiting for YOU to treat them in a hope that you can make them all goodie goodie!?"

He stated in a plain tone yet sarcasm was dripping from his words.

She closed her eyes in guilt but she knew at this moment he was very right and had every right to be angry cause his parents were also there and he was worried for them.

She should have atleast informed so hospital could arrange another doctor for checking on patients.

"Answer me...now why are you standing like a statue?"

She flinched at the sudden raise in his tone but he did not care about that his main focus was on his parents.

"If anything happens to my parents because of you...i promise Miss Davies I will ruin you."

He leaned down towards her, their lips only inches apart when he gave her his last warning before going out leaving her in a mess of situation.

Astrid settled herself for the day that awaits ahead with a guilt roaming in her head.
