The girl turned her face to get a better look of the stranger. "And tell me one thing, even if someday you found someone who claimed to love you, who will take the guarantee that the love is true and pure. This world is full of cheaters and betrayers."
The stranger's face fell, but she quickly recovered, a determined glint in her eyes. "So, you're saying i should just assume everyone is a cheater or a betrayer? That's a pretty bleek outlook on life. What about trust? What about faith in people."
The girl snorted, "Trust? faith? You're really naive, aren't you? People will always disappoint you. It's just a matter of time."
The stranger shook her head. "I'd rather take the risk of being disappointed than live in a world where I assume everyone is out there to hurt me. Besides, what about the people who genuinely do care? Who does love truly and deeply?"
The girl raised an eyebrow. "Genuinely care? Truly and deeply? You're living in a dream world, miss stranger. Wake up before you get hurt."
There was a silence, they just looked at each other. The stranger looked into the girl's eyes. "Tell me one thing, Is there no love between your parents or any couples in your family?"
The girl was taken aback by the question, her expression faltering for a moment before she regained her composure. "No, there is no love. They're just carrying the burden of their marriage. If there is any love, then why are they always arguing and fighting? Ugly fights, i don't believe in love, and I'll never will."
The stranger's eyes softened, her eyes filled with empathy. "Now, I'm getting where are you coming from. But fighting and arguing doesn't mean there is no love. Sometimes, it's the opposite - it means they are still invested, still passionate. Love isn't always easy or pretty."
The girl scoffed, "Easy or pretty? You're really naive. Love is just a myth, an excuse for people to hurt each other."
The stranger leaned on, her voice gentle. "I'm not naive, I just choose to believe in something more. And, I think you are using your family's struggles as an excuse to protect yourself from getting hurt. But in doing so, you're also closing yourself off to the possibility of real connection."
The girl's eyes flashed with anger, but the stranger continued. "I'm not saying it's easy, but sometimes it's worth the risk."
The stranger put her arms around the girl's neck and pulled her closer, her voice softening. "Ok! Let's not fight! Today, you taught me something about career and life. I tried to change your perspective on some emotions. We're even now."
The girl's initial shock at the stranger's sudden gesture gave way to the mix of emotions - surprise, curiousity, and a hint of vulnerability. She looked into the stranger's eyes, searching for answers. "What are you doing?"
The stranger smiled, her eyes sparkling with warmth. "I'm showing you that sometimes, connection can be unexpected. We may not agree on everything, but we can still find common ground."
The girl's expressions softened, her voice barely above a whisper. "I...I don't know what to say?"
The stranger's grip loosened, but she didn't let go. "You don't have to say anything. Just know that sometimes love and connection can be found in the most unlikely places. And who knows, maybe someday you'll find it."
The girl's eyes locked onto the stranger, and a glimmer of hope flickered to life. "May be..."
A smirk formed on the stranger's face, and she nudged her by her elbow. "And may be even marry him, and love him so much."
