As the conference came to a close, Oghale and Abdul exchanged numbers, promising to stay in touch. They had grown closer, and their connection went beyond a mere friendship.

One evening, as they talked on the phone, Abdul confessed his feelings to Oghale. "I know this may seem sudden, but I can't deny the way I feel. I'm drawn to you, Oghale."

Oghale's heart skipped a beat. She had felt the same spark, but was afraid to acknowledge it. "Abdul, I...I feel the same way."

Their conversation was filled with excitement and nervousness. They both knew that their families might not approve of their relationship.

"I know our cultures are different," Abdul said, "but I can't help how I feel. I want to be with you, Oghale."

Oghale's voice trembled. "I want to be with you too, Abdul. But we have to be careful. Our families—"

"I know," Abdul interrupted. "We'll face challenges, but I'm willing to take that risk for us."

As they talked, they realized that their love was forbidden in the eyes of their families and communities. But they couldn't deny their feelings.

They began secretly meeting, stealing glances, and exchanging sweet messages. Their love blossomed, but the weight of their families' disapproval loomed over them.

One day, Oghale's brother, Efem, discovered her relationship with Abdul. "Oghale, what is going on?" he demanded. "You know our family will never approve of this."

Oghale stood firm. "Efem, I love him. And he loves me. That's all that matters."

Efem's expression turned stern. "You're putting our family's reputation at risk. This relationship must end."

Oghale's heart sank, knowing that her family would never accept Abdul. But she refused to give up on their love.
