— Party Twenty-Five —

Donghyuck awoke from the quiet shuffle of bedsheets and the mattress moving beneath him. He groaned and opened his eyes to bright light. Immediately he closed them again, trying his best to not lose the comfort of the warm blanket above him.

But someone apparently had different plans and the next thing that Donghyuck's body was noticing was cold air touching his naked legs.

"Good morning, sunshine," Mark said softly above him and Donghyuck opened his eyes a second time, this time ready for the blinding brightness. As soon as his eyes had adjusted to his surroundings, he saw Mark's handsome face, looking down at him with a certain look in his eyes. Donghyuck couldn't quite pinpoint what it was, but Mark was somehow looking at him lovingly. It was a view that Donghyuck wouldn't mind getting used to.

"Morning," he whispered, noticing that the sight of the older man had already placed a smile on his lips.

"Today's the big day," Mark said, now more serious and turned away. Donghyuck followed his body movement to see Mark packing the map back into his bag.

Donghyuck hummed, again feeling unsure of wether he liked that today was the last day that him and Mark were stuck together. (The answer was no, but Donghyuck did not want to think about that issue this early in the morning.)

Mark turned to see Donghyuck not having moved even an inch and said "Get up, man. You can't go out naked."

"I guess, I can't," Donghyuck agreed and with a sigh rose up. He got dressed in his clothes, not missing that Mark was eyeing him. He scrunched his nose, a smell rising from his clothes that obviously hadn't gotten the same wash as their owner last evening.

"Mine stink too," Mark broke the silence.

"I guess, we're stinky together," Donghyuck joked and got to see a rewarding smile, almost a laugh, on the older man's face.

"Not for long anymore," Mark said, painfully reminding Donghyuck of their journey ahead and the significance of this very day.

He had now dressed completely and walked over to Mark who was already at the door. Together they stood in silence, looking at what had been their home for the past day.

Donghyuck's eyes went over the furniture. The table with the phone. Jaemin. The untidy bed, the sheets completely a mess. Mark.

Oh, how he had wished they didn't need to leave. That they could just stay in this little fantasy forever, him and Mark. This hotel room. The kisses, the hot touches, Mark's moans but also his cute smile, his cheeky laugh, all that flashed before Donghyuck's eyes as he mustered the room for the last time.

"Let's go," Mark said, pulling Donghyuck out of his trance.

"Yeah, let's," Donghyuck agreed and closed the door shut behind himself. A loud and final clack was heard and Donghyuck flinched slightly, as if that sound had just shut him out of all the good things that had happened in it.

He followed Mark down the corridor, their hands occasionally touching. Each time another butterfly decided to call Donghyuck's stomach their home.

"Sooo...", the younger said, a little nervously. Mark hummed as to show he was listening as they made their way downstairs.

"We're staying in contact after this, or what?"

The words had escaped Donghyuck's mouth before he could stop himself. He stiffened up at his own question, a heat instantly rising to his cheeks. Suddenly the carpet in the lobby seemed very interesting and Donghyuck wanted to sink into the soft-looking material.
