4. This is goodbye

'I love it when you get all bouncy over our songs' Luke laughed softly looking down from our bed

'Luke you know what's coming'

'the pre tour playlist' he sighed, I'd made it the first time he went on tour and now it was a ritual that the night before tours we would listen to it together and just talk

Just talk.

It seems to simple now with his arms around me but for 5 months he would be away touring and just talking would no longer be so simple

Sure I'd go see him and it was fun to spend some time on tour but I had a job and family and his family at home

I held down the fort while he fought the wars

It wasn't even a question of me not trusting him on tour because I did, he'd never proved me wrong so I didn't see why I shouldn't trust him, he loved me

I fell asleep to Luke murmuring disconnected in my ear, and when I woke up he was gone
