"Are you sure everything's in place-."

"Haerin, we've checked over everything five times now! Look at me!" Hanni laughs loudly and grips Haerin's face in her hands, black-haired girl's eyes wide and filled with worry as Hanni shakes her head and raises an eyebrow.

"I know you're nervous. But you don't have to be, okay? Because you're getting married to the woman you love today, and that's all that matters, alright?" Hanni says firmly, Minji and Hyein on either side of the girl as they collectively watch Haerin freakout apprehensively.

"I know...I know, I'm not, I...I just-I need this to be perfect, Hanni." Haerin breathes, blinking back her tears and choking on a laugh when Hyein waves her hands over her eyes to get them to stop tearing with a shout.

"I spent an hour and a half on that makeup, Haerin! No crying!" she scolds. Haerin bites back a moan of frustration as Hanni squeezes her shoulders and lets out a shaky sigh.

"Haerin, that's the thing. You've been so focused on making sure everything is perfect that you're not just living in the moment. Danielle doesn't care if everything's perfect, Haerin, as long as you're by her side, everything already is perfect. just breathe, stop needing everything to be perfect and realize what's happening today."

Haerin's eyes widen, her throat closing up as she takes in Hanni's words and really comes to terms with what exactly is happening today.

Hyein just spent an hour and a half on her makeup.

She's wearing a white lace dress that hugs her body tightly, her black hair thrown up into a bun with strands framing her face-

She's getting married today.

Haerin swallows thickly, a panicked whine escaping her, but she closes her eyes and thinks about brunette hair and pink lips, about pale skin and that smile, that smile-

She wants this. She does, she wants this more than she's ever wanted anything in her life-

"I'm getting married to Danielle today." She breathes, opening her eyes and looking at Minji, Hanni and Hyein before there's a knock at the door and Haerin's uncle pokes his head inside.

"Is she ready?" he asks softly with a smile. Haerin attempts to swallow the lump in her throat down once more before she croaks out an answer.

"Yes, I'm ready." she calls out, her heart pounding in her ears as Hanni squeezes her hand and makes her way out of the room to get to Danielle. Hyein and Minji soon follow after, and Haerin can hear the sound of the music changing into something that she's only heard in tv shows and movies echoing out from the inside of the church, a whimper escaping her before she feels a firm hand grip her shoulder.

"Come on, Haerin. Your girl is waiting for you."

Haerin loops her arm into his own, gripping his forearm with her other hand as he leads her out of the room, and she sees Hanni exit the room Danielle's in, her heart aching to be reunited with her love as Hanni grins and gives her a thumbs up.

"Okay, she's ready. Minji, Hyein, you guys go first!" Hanni says, waving the two girls forward, and they both giggle before they begin their walk down the aisle, Haerin watching them go with a shaky breath before Hanni follows after them. Uncle Jake waits a few moments before he squares his shoulders and makes his way towards the main part of the church, taking Haerin with him.

As soon as Haerin sees the aisle in front of her...

Her entire body just seems to...relax.

Wow...that's where the rest of my life begins...
