Kim Taehyung wasn’t one to take shortcuts, especially through the jungle. But tonight, the highway was a mess. Dangerous traffic snarled for miles, accidents were reported every hour, and he had no patience left to deal with it. His instincts told him to avoid the jungle at night, but the desire to get home as quickly as possible overruled his caution. After all, he knew these roads well, didn’t he?
As he turned off the main road and into the winding path that cut through the dense jungle, a sense of unease began to creep in. The trees loomed closer, their branches casting long, eerie shadows across the road. The headlights of his car barely cut through the thick darkness, and the usual comforting hum of the engine seemed more ominous than ever.
The road stretched endlessly, longer than he remembered. It was as if the jungle itself was playing tricks on him, leading him in circles. He checked his fuel gauge and cursed under his breath—almost empty. And just as the needle hovered over empty, he saw it: a gas station glowing with an unnatural red light, appearing suddenly as if out of nowhere.
Relief flooded through him, but as he approached, something felt wrong. The station was old, worn down by time, and there was a long line of cars waiting to fill up. But what struck him as odd was the people at the station—or more specifically, the women.
They were beautiful, almost too beautiful, standing beside the pumps in revealing dresses that clung to their bodies in the humid night air. Each woman was busy filling up the cars, their movements slow and sensual. They were teasing, bending over just enough to catch the gaze of the men in the cars. And the men… they were transfixed, unable to look away, almost as if they were under a spell.
Taehyung’s heart pounded as he pulled into the line. His eyes darted from one woman to the next, each more alluring than the last. But there was something off about them, something he couldn’t quite place. Their eyes—there was a hollowness in them, a coldness that didn’t match the warmth of their smiles.
As he inched forward, his car now third in line, he spotted a young woman inside the convenience store attached to the station. She was different from the others—dressed in the most sinful way possible, with an air of mystery that drew him in. Her gaze was intense, as if she could see right through him. For a moment, their eyes met, and Taehyung felt a chill run down his spine.
He watched as the car in front of him pulled up to the pump. One of the women sauntered over, her hips swaying seductively, her dress barely covering her curves. The driver, a man in his late thirties, leaned out of the window, grinning like a fool. She leaned in close, whispering something in his ear that made him chuckle, and then began to fill his tank.
Taehyung couldn’t help but notice the way the other men were behaving, their eyes glazed over, as if the women were the only thing in the world that mattered. It was as if these women had some sort of power over them, a seductive energy that was impossible to resist.
The line moved slowly, and Taehyung’s unease grew with every passing second. He glanced at the other cars, noticing that there were only men—no women, no children. Just men, all of them entranced by these mysterious women who seemed to appear out of nowher.
The entire place felt wrong—an eerie contrast to the dense, dark trees surrounding it. The line of cars stretched out behind him, each vehicle filled with men whose eyes were glued to the women working the pumps, their expressions vacant, almost hypnotized.
