(3th person POV) Saturday, 4th of May
Y/n knocks on the front door, a sports bag hung around her shoulders. She’s tapping her leg nervously. She only stops when the door gets opened by none other than Tori herself.
Tori sees who it is and doesn’t even try to form any sort of emotion on her face, She simply opens the door further and steps back so Y/n can walk in.
Y/n places her bag on the ground and kicks off her shoes before following Tori up the stairs.
Nick and Charlie were at a rugby match somewhere, and the thought makes Y/n crave for her own match in a few hours. Certainly now, because the tension in the room can be cut with a knife,
Tori seems to want to just get this over with, so she asks “Well? What did you want to talk about?” In a still voice and sharp eyes.
Y/n sighs deeply, before trying to meet Tori's eyes. “I want to say some things. But you cannot interrupt me until I'm done talking, alright?” She pleads Tori coldly.
Tori gives her a static nod.
Y/n breathes in a few times. “Alright, you feel like you don't know me. Fine. It's fair, and I'll fill you in on some things.” She starts, which immediately gets answered by big eyes from Tori, this wasn't what she had expected to hear.
“My middle name is Simone, which is also my mums name. Now you understand why I maybe don't go around screaming it of the rooftops.” She breathes out.
“That brings me to my dad's name, which is Alden. I like reading books because they make me escape reality and make my imagination grow.
The real reason I started with two jobs when I got here was because there were things for me to pay off.” Y/n admits.
And it really is something that she does. She hasn't told that to anyone. Not even last week when she had the conversation about it with her aunt. Even then she decided to lie. But now, with her seventeen year old girlfriend, she decides to be honest.
Something about her makes Y/n want to be honest.
Tori frowns at the words leaving Y/n’s mouth, “And now I stopped working at the library because Sarah convinced me to stop.” She states matter of factly, not once stopping to even properly breath, or break her eyes away from Tori's face.
“And the scars I have? Not necessarily the reason I have them is because my mum hurt me with such force that many times. No, my skin is apparently just that vulnerable for those kinds of contact. Yes she hurt me enough, but the marks on my skin are the only times she hurt me so badly it had the opportunity to leave a scar.” At this Tori's eyes went immediately to one of the scars on Y/n's face.
“Oh, I also understand quite some German and can speak it a bit, because before my dad passed we lived near the border. Right after his funeral we moved to a smaller town near Amsterdam which is more in the middle of the country. My favorite school subject is history for reasons I can't explain.” Y/n doesn't miss a beat while explaining this all. And if Tori's being honest, she's already a bit lost in the story.
Eventually Y/n stops talking, and Tori starts pondering in her head what she should say next. But before she could even make a full sentence in her head, Y/n starts talking again. But quieter, vulnerable.
“And the reason I haven't told you any of this, or anyone really, is complicated. I thought until last night that I did that to protect others… but turns out that that is just bullshit.”
