Volume 1:
Chapter 11: A Date In Vale?"Ruby...are you asking me out on a date?"
After your question reaches the girl's ears. Ruby begins to blush as red as her hood.
"N-n-no!" She starts to stutter. "That's not what I meant at all."
Confused, you walk closer to her. To which, Ruby covers her face with her hands.
"Don't look at me when I'm like this." She asks you.
"Relax, it was just a joke." You reassure her. "But I'll admit, that one was terrible. Even for a friend."
"Right...friend..." Ruby calms herself down.
You and Ruby stay silent for a few seconds. Before either of you could continue the conversation, a chirping noise can be heard.
"Hey, sis? Look at this cool bug I found!" Yang exits her dorm with a noisy cricket on her hand and walks to her sister, too focused on the insect. "It's kinda cute and I can't afford to kill it."
By the time Yang looks up, she sees you beside her sister. Also the cricket leaves the situation.
"Ruby? Why are you blushing?" The elder asks after noticing the younger.
"See you outside!" Ruby immediately bursts into rose petals and leaves the corridor.
Before you get the chance to go with her, Yang blocks your path and questions:
"Alright hot shot, what did you do?"
"Kind of an ironic thing to say, seeing that your hair lights up when you're..." You jest, then Yang quickly grabs you by the shoulder. "...angry!"
"There's a time and place for jokes." Her eyes glow red and her hair starts flickering. "Answer!"
You then take a deep breath and slowly explain:
"Ruby wants me to explore the city with her."
Yang raises an eyebrow with suspicion.
"She looked so happy when she suggested, so how could I refuse?" You then sigh. "I just want Ruby to be happy."
After listening, Yang's hair stops burning and her eyes return to normal. She lets you go and sighs:
"I know, because so do I. And I know that I can't be with her all the time, so I'll be trusting you to make her happy if I can't."
"Of course." You nod and Yang allows you to go.
But before you leave the corridor to find Ruby...
"But just know that, if you dare hurt my sister or even make her cry, I will not forget this declaration of war." Yang warns you before re-entering her dorm.
After you are finally left alone, you sigh in relief and head outside. Not before you tell your teammates through your earpiece:
"Sorry, but I won't be hanging out with you guys today."

Walking through the city of Vale, Ruby asks you:
"I'm really glad that we get to hangout today. You aren't busy with anything else, right?."
"Honestly, I still am, but that can wait." You speak with honesty. "By the way, where are we going first?"
"Oh look! We're here!"
In front of you, you see a store full of television screens and headphones, so the both of you head inside.
