Volume 1:
Chapter 12: Black And White

At the balcony of a café in the middle of Vale, you and your teammates arrive where Sun and Blake were seen drinking tea. Instead of approaching them, the four of you eavesdrop on their conversation while not wanting to interrupt.

Blake then explains her past to Sun about the White Fang and its origins. She continues by stating that after the Faunus Rights Revolution, the White Fang was created as a symbol of peace and unity between the Humans and Faunus. However, despite being promised equality, the Faunus were still treated as inferior, so the White Fang became the voice of their people.

Ever since childhood, Blake stood with them at every protest, boycott and rally, thinking that they were making a difference. However, five years ago, their leader was replaced by someone with violent and radical ideals. Their new leader replaced the group's peaceful protests with organized attacks, arson of shops that refused to serve them, and hijackings of shipments for businesses using Faunus labor. She states that these methods have been working, but the equal treatment the Faunus had gained was through fear, rather than respect.

Blake puts down her teacup in front of a stunned Sun.

"So, I left. I decided I no longer wanted to use my skills to aid in their violence, and instead, I would dedicate my life to becoming a Huntress. So here I am: a criminal hiding in plain view, all with the help of a little black bow." Blake wiggles her cat ears beneath the fashionable disguise to demonstrate.

Coming to terms with this, Sun asks:

"So...have you told your friends any of this?"

Blake merely looks down in shame and says nothing.

"So that's the story between you and the White Fang." You enter the conversation, shocking both Faunus.

"Y/N!" Blake sighs in relief. "You're late."

But after seeing your teammates behind you, especially Asta, she adds:

"And you brought company."

"You didn't say come alone." You refer to Blake's message.

"I thought I said: 'Don't tell our teammates.'?"

"You only said: 'Don't tell your teammates.', not 'yours and mine'. Besides, I'm not leaving my teammates behind, and neither should you."

Unable to deny your point, Blake looks away.

"But Blake's right about one of your teammates, because I don't think HE should be here, especially after..." Sun points at Asta.

"Asta thought that Blake was an active member of the White Fang." You interrupt. "Please cut him some slack, the family who adopted and loved him were all slaughtered by the same terrorists."

Your explanation leaves Sun in silence. Despite knowing that Asta nearly dislocated his jaw and nearly killed Blake two days ago, he understands.

"But I truly am sorry, both of you." Asta apologizes. "Truth be told, despite the mask I wear, I was never happy inside my heart."

You look at Blake for her opinion. After a few seconds, Blake eventually says:

"It's okay, just try not to kill anyone else."

"Of course." Asta promises while crossing his fingers behind his back.

"So..." You then ask Blake. "What do you want to do now?"
