Stream of consciousness of ideas:

Paul/Blitz is going to be a major obsession for Homelander. He considered Blitz to be a possession of his and treated him as such. He exploited him sexually and used him as a tool for validation, an ego boost.

Because he was so controlling and manipulative of Blitz, when Blitz faked his death to escape it left Homelander enraged that something would happen that he didn't personally control about him.

Blitz is privy to all of Homelander's deepest insecurities, fears, dreams and desires. Because of this, he knows him far better than most.

Blitz hid the majority of his powers to avoid unwanted attention from others. For the longest time, it was thought that he simply conducted electricity with his body for production of small blasts. In reality, he is capable of generating localized lightning storms, flight, levitation, creation of electrical fields, and converting his entire body into electricity.

Blitz was given over to Vought's research team by his own parents when he was still very young. As a result, he was raised in isolation. Despite this, he was able to find comfort in books and stories. As a result he often makes up stories in his head as a means of coping. He learned humility, honor, kindness and empathy from his exposure to books. These qualities were encouraged by Vought, who recognized these to be exploitable.

Soldier Boy was Blitz's biggest hero when he was very young, impressionable, and unaware of the true nature of Soldier Boy. He also was very fond of Soldier Boy's team Payback as well as The Seven. He had a naive and idealistic sense that he, too could save the world.

Upon joining The Seven, Blitz's fantasies were shattered and he became Homelander's personal plaything. The only thing that kept him going during that time was his strong grip on his imagination.

Recognizing Blitz's deepest depression, Maeve helped him fake his own death in a way that led everyone else to believe that he had been completely obliterated, leaving behind no trace of himself.

In reality, Blitz relocated to the rural Sweden where he stayed in a small cottage and lived a simple life.

Blitz's costume is a teal and white bodysuit with lightning bolt symbols on the chest. It is sleeveless, showing off his lean upper body.

When Blitz meets Soldier Boy, he no longer holds him in high esteem, assuming that all heroes are rotten inside. For a time, Soldier Boy's behavior proves him right in his assertion.

Soldier Boy initially sees Blitz as a weak liability and a poor excuse for a man. In fact, Soldier Boy even remarks that he probably would have mistreated Blitz if he'd been a member of Payback.

Soldier Boy is on a journey of redemption and self-discovery. Much of that is fueled by his interactions with Blitz. Through prolonged exposure to modern life and Blitz, Soldier Boy begins to understand why his behaviors have been wrong and the trauma that has fueled them.

Soldier Boy comes to terms with his own homosexuality. While he has been sexually fluid throughout his tenure as a superhero, Soldier Boy always assumed homosexual interactions were simply a method for showing dominance and control over other men he deemed to be beneath him. With Blitz, he realizes that he is a gay man at his core and that much of his behavior is a result of masking this.

Soldier Boy finds himself drawn to Blitz and longing to prove to the young man that he is the hero he can look up to. He no longer feels a void left behind by his father's lack of love and respect. Instead, he yearns for Blitz's love and respect.
