Red was never one for talking about her past in wonderland she was a closed book even when Chloe tries to talk to her about it Red immediately shuts it down she never wants to talk about it, it was something Chloe couldn't understand Red allowed Chloe to talk about her childhood for hours but why was it different when it came to the other girl Chloe thought that maybe red just didn't trust her.
once they got back to there Dorm room Red showered and went to bed she was exhausted, as Chloe decided to stayed up to do her homework Chloe looked over at red she swear she heard her say something she shrugged it off going back to her homework after a few minutes Chloe puts her homework away turning the lamp off as she started to drift off she hears Red jump up her breathing shaky
Chloe sits up looking over at Red who's sitting up herself taking deep breaths "red? are you ok?" Chloe frowns when she doesn't answer so she gets up walking over to Red's bed sitting down Red looked at her "i im f fine y yeah" red looked at chloe as chloe frowns again "you're fine? you look like you've seen a ghost tell me did you have a bad dream?" Chloe was determined to find out she hated how closed off red was with her she was getting sick of it as well red didn't answer they sat in silence Red takes a deep shaky breath
"i didn't have the best up-bringing my mother she erm...she's god what's the word" Chloe looks at red "not very nice?" Red looks at Chloe "that's an understatement she never let me be who i wanted to be sometimes...when she'd get angry at me she'd yell really loud and it hurt my ears she'd call me awful things that i never want to repeat" red continued as Chloe stares at Red Listening to each word
red paused for a minute then spoke again "all she cared about was me being future queen making me into a mini her t that's all she had me for...she wanted me to be just as evil as her and because...i didn't and i disobeyed her she'd punish me for it she didn't let me have friends she told me she hated me...now i'm terrified i'll end up like her" tears formed in her eyes as she finished what she was saying Chloe gently touched Red's chin getting her to look at her
Chloe takes a deep breath "thank you for trusting me with this. but red listen to me you are nothing! and i mean nothing like your mother and you never will be you can't let her awful words stop you having a wonderful life you are literally the most amazing girl your past doesn't define your future red" Chloe smiled at red as she looked at chloe tears in her eyes
"what if i do end up like her chloe" Red sounded panicked "you won't not if im here i'll lead you down the right path" Chloe held Red's hand smiling at her red looks at chloe and smiled "Im sorry you had such a bad childhood" Chloe said voice filled with Sympathy
Red didn't really know what to say at that she knew how much the girl cared for her "sorry if i woke you" Red smiled a little "don't be silly try get some sleep ok we have a test tomorrow" Chloe gets up "wait" red says taking a deep breath "would you erm...would you mind staying beside me just till i fall asleep" Red felt embarrassed for needing comfort Chloe smiled "of course" Chloe lay beside red until she fell asleep Chloe didn't have the energy to move so she just stayed where she was falling asleep next to red with a smile on her face
she was happy red trusted her and she knew it was just the tip of the ice berg and there was for sure way more that maybe she'd unpack one day but Chloe would count it as a success and hopeful the start of something
