*4 days later*

I cannot believe it's the last day of our holiday.. For the last day of our holiday, Alisha decided to spend the day with this boy she met and she is NON STOP talking about him. I honestly felt a bit butt hurt when she told me she was spending the last day of OUR holiday, which i planned and booked, with a guy.

*ding*

My phone buzzes and i turn it on to see i've received a string of messages from the boy i met at the beach yesterday.

Jadon

Jadon: hey beautiful i was wondering if you wanted to join me, marcus and jesse for breakfast?

me:
hey  jadon, sure but how should i dress?

jadon: dress however you want, personally i think you'd look cute in a sundress tho 😉

me:
perfect now i know to not wear a sundress;)

I smirk at the message i sent and turn my phone around again. I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and do some light makeup before i walk to my wardrobe and i see a cute but short, white sundress, i sigh and pick it out of my wardrobe and pair my outfit with beach waves in my hair and white sandals.

When I arrived at their villa, I was greeted by the sight of  the three of them on the terrace, a table full of food laid out between them. Jesse was the first to see me, flashing his usual easy grin, followed by Jadon who slowly embraced me with a hug before speaking.

"Morning Sof!" Jadons voice was bright and cheerful, his eyes lighting up when they met mine, "I didn't know we were on a nickname basis now" I joke, grinning. He smiles and says "Hope you're hungry, we went all out!" He leads me towards their table and guides me to sit next to him, facing opposite of Marcus, who flashes me a shy grin.

"Wow this looks amazing!" I say as my eyes scan over all of the food. "Let's dig in!" Jesse says with a smug grin, rubbing his hands together.

As we began eating, I tried to focus on the food, the conversation, anything but the strange tension i felt bubbling under the surface. Jadon was his usual self, cracking flirtatious jokes and i found myself laughing along with him, but i slowly feel his hand creep up towards my legs and he rests his hand on my thighs, squeezing them and slowly caressing them. My eyes widen with shock of this unexpected contact which causes me to react out of the blue. Without thinking, i jerked slightly, knocking my fork against the plate with a clatter. The sudden noise caught everyone's attention, and i quickly looked up, my heart racing. Jadon flashed me a mischievous smile, clearly pleased with himself, but when i glanced over at Marcus and Jesse, I caught Marcus with the briefest flicker of something - hurt, maybe even anger- before he looked down at his plate, Jesse looks at me and laughs before saying, "Woah, you okay there Sofia? Did the bacon bite back or something?" He chuckled, his tone light trying to ease the tension that no one else seemed to notice.

I forced a laugh, but the awkward tension hit me like a train, i could still feel Jadons hand lingering over my thigh. "Actually, i think i need to freshen up," I added, pushing my chair back. "I'll be right back."

Without waiting for a response, I stood up and walked away from the table, trying to maintain my composure as i made my way to the bathroom.

*Marcus' POV*

As Sofia excused herself from the table, I couldn't help but watch her as she walked away, my chest tightening with each step she took. Something was off, and I had a feeling it wasn't just clumsiness that had her so rattled. I hesitated for a moment, then pushed back my chair, deciding to follow her. I didn't want to seem overbearing, but I couldn't just sit there and do nothing.

I found her just as she was about to close the bathroom door. "Sofia," I called out softly, stopping her in her tracks. She turned to face me, I stepped closer, keeping my voice low. "Are you okay? You seemed a little... off back there."

She looked at me, and for a moment, I saw something vulnerable in her expression. "I'm fine, Marcus," she said, but her voice told me something different.

I leaned against the doorframe, trying to keep things light, even though my pulse was racing. "You sure? If breakfast wasn't your thing, I could always take you somewhere better. Just the two of us." I gave her a small smile, trying to test my luck.

Before she could respond, Jadon appeared out of nowhere, walking down the hallway with his usual grin. "Hey, what's going on here? A bathroom meeting?"

I quickly straightened up and forced a casual shrug. "Just checking in on Sofia. You know, making sure she hasn't gotten into any more bacon fights." I joke. Jadon laughed, completely oblivious to the tension that had just hung between us. "Okay well we're waiting on you but don't expect the food to still be here when you're back." Jadon winks and then walks back outside.

I let out a breath I hadn't realized I was holding and looked back at Sofia. "Seriously, though, if you need anything, I'm here." I said, my tone was a little softer and more sincere. Her eyes met mine and I could tell she was trying to decide how to respond. But before she could, she gave me a small nod and a faint smile.

"Thanks, Marcus," she said, slipping into the bathroom before I could say anything more. I stood there for a moment, staring at the closed door, a mix of frustration and longing swirling in my chest. I knew I had to tread carefully, but every moment with her made it harder to keep my feelings under wraps.
