More Than This

Adam was mine. I was his. And we were in love. After just two months, we'd fallen in love.

"Lex! Darling! C'mon, Lex." Adam begged and pleaded for me to jump into the cold lake but I wouldn't budge.

I shook my head," Mmmm, no."

"Fine." Adam walked over to me, and scooped me up.

I flailed and twisted and squirmed. But that man, boy he is strong.

"Enjoy beautiful." He kissed my cheek and dropped me into the freezing water.

We'd stopped at this lake that we were driving by to go swimming. It'd been Adam's idea, and I just barely agreed.

We had went camping for the weekend, and it was very nice. Especially, the part with having only one bed in the cabin.

We finally arrived back at Adam's cute little house in Owatonna, it was perfect.

"So, dinner? Where do you want to go?" Adam asked unpacking.

"Well, I figure you have no food in your house."

"You'd be correct to figure that." Adam laughed.

"So, I was thinking, maybe we could go to a café?" I questioned him.

"Okay, lemme get my keys." He grabbed them and opened the door.

He had no idea how bad an idea that was.

Adam's POV:

I loved every moment of this. Being with Lex. She was so perfect and I loved her so much.

We'd been on our out the door to go to a little café, when a woman's figure appeared on my drive way.

"Hello, Adam." A familiar voice spoke through the thickening snow.

"Um, hi?" I was confused as to who it was.

I gripped Lex's hand tighter.

"It's me, AnnMarie." The woman came out into the light, just enough so I could see her blonde hair and blue eyes.

"Why are you here?" I asked her.

"AnnMarie.." I heard Lex whisper softly.

"I missed you Adam." AnnMarie took a step forward.

"I missed you, too," I told her," But that was before I met Alexandra Christine Young."
