I knew what I had to do.
I had to quit.
College that is.
It wasn't what I wanted in life, at all. So I figured, that I could quit. Until I told my parents about it.
"Hey mom, I need to talk to you." I spoke into my iPhone, twirling my Owl City bracelet around my wrist.
"Yeah, sure honey. But first, how's break been?" She asked happily.
"Um, well you know how I love Owl City?" I asked, scratching my head.
"Yes, yes. Unhealthy obsession if you ask me, but yes," She paused for a moment," Oh honey, did you get in trouble with the police for stalking? Did you stalk that poor boy? Oh Lex.." The words flowed out of her mouth like a river.
"I'm quitting college." I interrupted, covering my mouth right after.
"WHAT?" She yelled into the phone making me jump.
"It's not for me, mom." I said quietly.
"I don't care if its not for you, it cost 40,000 dollars!" She screamed.
"Mom!" I cut her off," IT'S NOT FOR ME."
"What do you mean? What is for you then?" She asked.
"I want to do music."
"Well I don't know about that." She trailed off.
"I spent the last month off from college. I've been touring with Owl City." I spoke so quiet I didn't think she'd hear me.
"Oh my gosh..really?" She was surprised.
"Yeah I've been covering for the keyboard player, the lessons you forced me to take paid off, and it's been so fun. And I could do this for a living since, the live band quit. And me and Adam...we're kind've dating." I said the last part, blushing.
"Ooooo musical romance. Well, sweetie, if this is what you want, we can see what we can do. I'll call you later in the week. But until then, you need to go back to college." She said the last part, pretty sternly.
"Ugh. Fine. Love you mom, bye!" I said, hanging up the phone before she could answer since I felt a pair of strong hands on my waist.
"Hello dear." Adam whispered into my ear, his breath hot on my cheek.
"Hi." I turned around and hungrily kissed him.
Our lips were locked as we made our way over to the couch, I collapsed onto it and Adam fell on top. I don't know what came over me, I just really was attracted to him.
"Hey, hey." His low voice rasped, he got up.
"What?" I asked sitting up.
"I can't do this. Not now. Not yet." He rubbed his temple, and sighed.
I didn't answer and just thought, If not now, when?
"Can you hand me the Cheerios?" Daniel asked me grumbling.
He and Mazey had went to a club last night and gotten super drunk. Daniel was hungover.
"Sure, sunshine." I smiled sweetly handing him the yellow box.
"Shut up Alex." Mazey growled.i
"Isn't that nice?" Adam stepped into the room in sagging sweats, black boxers showing, and a tank top that fit his muscles nicely.
"You look hot." I checked him out, raising my eyebrows.
"Hey, isn't that my-" Jasper whined.
Adam put his hand in his face, and took my hand.
"C'mon darling." He lead me to the bedroom.
"What're we doing?" I asked.
"Oh, I don't know.." Adam smirked.
My brow furrowed,"What're you up to?"
"Nothing.." He said as he shut the door tight.
