" Mom.." I call desperately but I can't reach her no matter how much I struggle to .
"Save the drama , am running out of time ! " Zachary says . "Ryan , you know what you need to do, kill the lady and I let your useless beta or whoever he is to you , go!" He adds .
"Why are you so obsessed with making me kill an innocent person!?" Ryan asks .
" Oh c'mon, you don't really mean that you don't know why.. do you? By now am very sure you have figured out why you were able to make a beta. Just do it or am going to rip off his neck this incident!"
Shit! He just called me Ryan's beta infront of my mom , thank heaven she doesn't seem like she heard it!
She is busy crying, telling Ryan to do it so as Zachary lets me go.
"Mom do you seriously want me to loose someone else ? If you think you'll be helping me by saving me and you dying then just know you are f*cking wrong!" I yell at her feeling so much anger. We would rather die together!
Ryan looks at me , I could literally see desperation in his eyes , worry, anger .. he looks back at Zachary and then says something that surprises me.
"What makes you think holding that kid like that and threatening to kill him will make me shed blood of an innocent person , what makes you think I'll kill someone who hasn't crossed me." I didn't expect that ,,
I don't know how I feel about that , he could be meaning that I have any value to him but anyway , it means he's not gonna kill my mom .
"When we thought you were dead , turns out you were just hiding somewhere being evil as much as you could! All those cases of missing people you are responsible, aren't you?" He adds.
"Can you stop nagging already? Of course am responsible, satisfied now? You know , we don't have to end up like this , just do what I ask you to do and I'll let you be part of my pack."
He's totally lying! He said he needs Ryan's true alpha powers and he'll only get them by killing him.
"What makes you think I wanna be? One more thing , Did you start that fire?" Ryan asks knowingly.
"What makes you think I did?"
"The late alpha died in the fire , and the only explanation for you becoming an alpha is that you killed him !"
"Smart boy , now that you know I can get whatever I want either way , how about just giving it to me without much drama!"
I see tears playing on Ryan's eye balls , I can't watch him like this , I can feel myself loosing it!
"Keep dreaming because I would never do that!" He says.
" Are you sure ? That not even this will make you give me what I want?" Zachary says digging his nails into my neck . "Am very confident Ryan that this will make you do it. Trust me , love can make you do something you never imagined you could do." He adds leaving me open mouthed.
What is he talking about now?!
"Stop talking nonsense!!" Ryan yells angrily.
" Nonsense? Ha ! Let me give you some advice just for free , look , there's nothing to be embarrassed about falling in love with a way younger person than you are , haven't you ever heard that love is blind , it doesn't see nor choose . I personally accept you regardless of your sexuality , thank me later."
