The cab weaved through the bustling streets of Seoul. As I looked out, my heart swelled with a mix of nostalgia and anticipation. It had been five long years since I'd last seen these streets, yet they felt both familiar and new, as if they had evolved in my absence but still carried the essence of my childhood.

Seoul had always been alive-vibrant and pulsing with energy. The city never truly slept; it just shifted gears, transitioning from the rush of day to the hum of night. I watched as the tall skyscrapers, with their shimmering glass facades, gave way to older neighborhoods, where the buildings were lower and the streets narrower. Everything seemed to move with purpose, yet there was a sense of harmony to it all, as if Seoul itself was a living entity, welcoming me back into its fold. As we drove past the Han River, I felt a wave of emotion wash over me. This was the city where I had grown up, where I had spent countless days exploring every nook and cranny with Taehyung by my side.

I had left it all behind at sixteen, but now, at twenty-one, I was back, drawn by a need to reconnect with my past and with the people who had shaped my childhood.

The car slowed to a stop, the engine's hum fading into silence as I stared out the window at the familiar yet foreign surroundings. Yonsie University stood before me, the grand entrance, framed by towering trees and dotted with students rushing about, stirred memories I had long tucked away. Stepping out of the car, I inhaled deeply, the scent of freshly cut grass mixed with the faint aroma of blooming flowers greeting me. The summer sun bathed the campus in a warm, golden light, casting gentle shadows that danced on the cobblestone paths -the ivy-clad walls, the sprawling green lawns, the soft murmur of laughter and conversation. I stood there for a moment, letting the nostalgia wash over me. My heart fluttered with a mix of excitement and nerves. It felt surreal to be back.

Just as I was about to take a step forward, my phone buzzed in my bag, jolting me out of my reverie. I quickly fished it out, glancing at the screen. Aunt Amanda .I smiled, swiping to answer. "Hi, Auntie.""Lisa, darling! Have you arrived yet?" Amanda's warm voice came through the line, filled with the same affection I remembered so well. Even after all these years, she hadn't changed-always caring, always looking out for me."Yes, I just got to the university," I replied, glancing around again, taking in the sight of students milling about. "I have to submit some documents to the office first. After that, I'll head to the house.""Ah, of course," Amanda said, a hint of relief in her tone. "I was just checking in. We're all excited to see you again, especially Taehyung. It's been so long, Lisa. Too long."My heart skipped a beat at the mention of his name. Taehyung. The one person who had occupied my thoughts more often than I cared to admit. The boy I left behind, who had grown into a man in my absence. "I'm excited too," I said, hoping my voice didn't betray the swirl of emotions inside me."Good, good," Amanda continued, her tone bright. "Take your time at the university, but don't keep us waiting too long. We're having a special dinner tonight to celebrate your return.""I won't, Auntie. I'll be there soon," I promised."Alright, dear. See you soon."With that, the call ended, leaving me standing there once again, staring at the entrance of Yonsie University. I took a deep breath, steeling myself.

This was just the beginning-a return to my roots, to the place where it all began. And soon, I would see him again.

But first, I had to take care of business. Tucking my phone back into my bag, I adjusted the strap over my shoulder and started walking towards the administration building.

I stepped through the grand doors of the administration building, the cool air inside offering a brief respite from the warm summer sun. The hallway stretched out before me, filled with students hurrying to their destinations, their footsteps echoing off the polished marble floors. My eyes scanned the directory on the wall, searching for the Human Ecology department, but the list of offices seemed endless.
As I turned a corner, I nearly collided with someone walking briskly in the opposite direction. Startled, I stepped back quickly, just in time to avoid a head-on collision. "Whoa, careful there!" a deep, slightly amused voice said.I looked up to see a tall, strikingly handsome man with sharp features and a confident stance. He had an air of boldness about him, the kind that commanded attention without even trying. His dark hair was artfully tousled, and his eyes-bright and mischievous-glinted as he looked at me. He was dressed casually, but there was something about the way he carried himself that hinted at a rebellious streak, a bad-boy vibe tempered by a certain charm that was hard to ignore.
