it was weird for her, the feeling of being so unwanted that it's almost impossible to believe someone when they tell her they like her. maybe because she never saw herself in the way that others do. her flaw overweighed those of her perfections which portrayed majority of her being. zia madden was complete perfection in everybody else's eyes but her own.
she was confident when she was drunk. only then when the substance has deluded all her worries and dulled her braincells is when she is the most confident in herself. perhaps that's why the one night she found the courage to talk to famous basketball player—aubrey griffin, she was off her fucking. face.

a tragedy it is to go from talking to someone the whole night to pretending they don't exist the next.

AUBREY GRIFFIN ;

aubrey griffin always knew of zia madden. it was hard not to when her face practically glowed in every room she walked into. or maybe it was just aubrey's eyes alighting at the bare sight of the girl. though like every other athlete in the industry, their career will always come first. especially this year. recovering from countless injuries and finally making a comeback she refuses to go back down that spiral. far too determined to let anything, or anyone move her focus.

yet there was something so particular about zia madden and her tendency to ghost and reappear in randomised patterns that had aubrey yearning to know more. the saddened factor was that the only time she ever got to see her is when they were at the club. when zia was on the cusp of a black out and aubrey was on the brink of collapsing is the only times you will ever see the two interact.

a mindless cycle which may be impossible to break. not that commitment will matter,
