At Kate's parents house

Kate along with Nova and Alex entered the house and were surprised by everyone.

Everyone there: Happy Birthday Kate 🎉🎈

Kate : Thanks everyone.

Kate's mom : Let's cut the cake Kate.

Kate's parents have always showered her with love as she is the only daughter, only adopted child . They have always treated her as their daughter.

Kate's dad : Kate , I brought a chocolate cake for you .

Kate: That's my favorite. Thanks dad.

Kate's dad : Katee

Kate : yes dad

Kate's dad : I wanna see you get married sweetheart .

Kate : I will get married , dad . I will get married when the time is right.

Kate's dad: I wanna see you get married before I die.

Kate : You are gonna live a long life dad. Don't be sad . I will get married soon, dad. Now smile.

Kate's dad : You are the best thing that ever happened to me sweetheart.

Kate smiled and hugged her dad.

Kate : Let's cut the cake dad.

They cut the cake and everyone wished Kate Happy Birthday again 🎉🎈
After cutting the cake they danced and ate lots of food.

Kate was dancing with Alex and the doorbell rang.

Kate's mom opened the door. It was Sam.

Kate's mom: are you Kate's friend?

Sam : Yes, I am Kate's friend.
Kate's mom: Kate come here . Your friend is at the door .

Kate and Alex came to the door.

Kate looked at him but couldn't recognise him.

Kate : I don't know him, mom.

Sam : I am Sam , Kate . Your childhood friend. We used to play together in the backyard.

Kate's mom: oh Sam . Come inside.

Kate: Hii Sam . How are you doing these days?

Sam : I am doing good Kate . By the way, happy birthday Kate. Here is a small present for you .

Kate : You remember my birthday, Sam.

Sam : of course Kate . I have celebrated your birthday with you 7 times when we were kids .

Alex : How long have you known each other?

Kate : We are childhood friends Alex . We met when I was 2 I believe and he was 3 years old at that time.

Kate's mom: They were inseparable as kids. Sam, you talk with them. I will get you some snacks.

Kate's mom left for the kitchen.

Alex : Kate, you should introduce me to Sam.

Kate : Sam met my boyfriend Alex.

Sam : Hi Alex

Jealousy could be seen in his eyes.

Sam : How long have you guys been dating?

Kate : We started dating a month ago.

Alex : Kate, let's go to your apartment together after this.

Kate blushed as she knew what exactly he meant.

Kate : Ok Alex. Let's dance now.

Sam : Where do you live Kate?

Kate: It's a 15 min drive from here. Let's have an after party at my apartment. After all, it's my 25th birthday. I will invite Nova also . Sam you wanna join?

Sam : Ok done Kate . I will also join you guys.

Alex was a little offended as his night plans were ruined but he passed a forceful smile to Kate.

Kate : I will get you the cake Sam . It's your favorite chocolate cake.

Kate went to bring the cake .

Alex : Maintain your distance from her . She is my girlfriend.

Sam : Who are you? What did you do to deserve her? You don't deserve her.

Alex : I am Alex , her boyfriend and you are just her childhood friend. I will take her V card today to make her mine . She is a little shy. We haven't had your first kiss yet but that will change today.

Sam : I will not let you touch her .

Kate and her mom come with snacks and cake for Sam .

Kate : Here is the chocolate cake Sam . Taste it and tell if you still like it or not.

Sam tasted the cake.

Sam : It's delicious. It is the same as what we used to eat as kids.

Kate's mom: You both used to fight for this cake when you were kids. Now look how much you both have changed with time.

Kate : Yes mom . Look at us now . We are adults now.

Kate : Now let's go dance.
