"So, where do ye come from?" The Human asked the Gems as they walked through the woods.
"Homeworld," Citrine responded annoyedly. 'We should've killed it already. It could be a threat to us,' he though to himself.
"Homeworld? Where's tha'?" The Human asked as it looked up at him with curious eyes.
"Space." The Gem huffed as he rolled his eyes.
"Yes, we come from a planet with Gems. Our planet, Homeworld, is at war, so we retreated here," Pargasite explained to the Human.
"Oh, shite, it must've been very bad, aye?" He asked.
"Afraid so, son." 'Son? Son?! Unacceptable!' Citrine internally yelled.
"Pargasite, may I have a word with the Human... in private?" He asked his leader.
"Of course. Just don't kill him."

Citrine walked with the Human deeper into the woods. Then he pushed him against a tree, and summoned his scythe. He then put the blade against his throat.
"I will gut you, Human. Learn your place. You are below us Gems, got it?"
"Oi, I'm not gonna do anythin.'"
"I can read you like a book." The Gem used emphasis on the word book, causing spit to come out of his mouth.
"Citrine." He flinched when he heard Ametrine's voice. He slowly lowered my scythe and turned to face him. "Leave the Human alone."
"Why are we treating this Human with respect?" He asked, his voice dripping with annoyance.
"Why not? He's done nothing to hurt us," Ametrine put his hands on his hips. 'Oh, I hate when he does that,' Citrine thought.
"But it very much can!"
"Citrine, don't be like this. You're thinking of the worst case scenario, and that never helps."
"I dinnae understand. Have I done somethin' to upset ya?" The Human asked Citrine. He raised the scythe to his neck again.
"Just watch where you step. One wrong move, and I'll—"
"Citrine." Ametrine glared at his colleague, and he glared right back. But he slowly lowered the scythe and stormed off. He stood behind a tree so he could listen in on the two's conversation.
"Don't worry about him, mate. He's gone through a bunch. I mean, his gem's cracked, which shattered part of his face." Ametrine said to the Human as he straightened his shirt. 'Poor Ametrine. Now he's gonna have to get his bloody hand cut off, so he can regenerate it,' Citrine thought.
"Why does he have a grudge against me? Is it because of th' whole war thing?" He asked Ametrine.
"Yeah. Unfortunately, Homeworld's leaders aren't the best. They think your world is insignificant. But Green Diamond... I mean, Pargasite, thinks otherwise. He sees life and love, as well as fear and hate. He sees the beauty and the grossness."
Ametrine and the Human looked around at the lively woods. Birds were chirping in different tunes. Squirrels, rabbits and chipmunks scurried around. The breeze lightly moved the varied-colored tree leaves The sun cast a beam of light through the shade that made the scene seem fantastical. Citrine looked around, too.
"Citrine," Pargasite softly said as he walked up to him. Unlike how any other Gem would react, he didn't flinch.
"My Diamond," he said as he stood at attention and put his hands into the shape of a diamond.
"I'm not your Diamond anymore, Citrine. I'm Pargasite," he softly said to him. He gently cupped his chin with his hand and raised it so they were eye-to-eye. "What's the matter? Why do you hate the Human? He's only been kind to us."
"I don't trust it," he responded matter-of-factly with a furrowed brow. Pargasite just sighed and let go of his chin.
"He's been hurt, Citrine. I can see it in the way he smiles. I've done enough research on Humans to know that if he's genuinely happy, his smile will reach his eyes."
"Wouldn't that hurt?" He asked. Pargasite just chuckled.
"Oh, Citrine, it's just a saying. But do you understand what I'm trying to say?" The Gem looked at his leader, then at the Human.
"Are you saying that... we're alike?" He slowly asked.
"I am."
"We are nothing alike! He's not physically scarred!" He abruptly snapped.
"You don't know that," his leader said.
"He hasn't been through war!"
"You don't know that, either," Pargasite calmly stated.
"He doesn't even know me!"
"That's true."
"He could harm us!"
"And we'd be ready," Pargasite said. Citrine went to shout something else, but movement from behind him put him on high alert. He swiftly turned around to see Ametrine and the Human.
"Do ye really think so lowly of me?" He sadly asked. "I've done nothing to ye." Citrine looked at him, then Ametrine, then at Pargasite.
"You could be a threat," he said with less venom in his tone.
"Have I shown any indication that I am?" Soap asked. His eyes were getting noticeably watery.
"No, but—"
"Citrine, that's enough," Pargasite ordered firmly. Citrine lowered his head in shame. The leader looked at the Human. "Soap, is it? Can you take us to a shelter? We're fairly tired."
"Aye, sir. This way."
