Pargasite's POV:

I stood on front of the front window in Soap's cabin. "I hope Citrine and Ametrine are alright," I thought to myself with a sigh. The Human approached me, so I turned to face him. He was holding a white ceramic cup filled with brown fluid.

"Would ye like some tea fer yer troubles?" He asked me with a soft smile.

"What is tea?" I asked him with a slight tilt of my head.

"Tea is an Earth drink. It's good, I guess. I dinnae drink it much." I looked at the cup, then back at Soap.

   "It's not poisoned, is it?"

"Gods, no. But I understand yer hesitation tae drink it. Here." I watched as the Human took a small sip of the so-called tea. He seemed fine, so I thought I'd try it, though I was still a bit hesitant. I took a tiny sip and my eyes widened.

"This is phenomenal," I gasped as I took another, longer sip. Soap just watched me with a fond smile.

"Ye come off as a tea-drinker," he pointed out. I stopped drinking and raised a curious eyebrow.

"How can you tell what someone likes? Do you have abilities like Gems?" I asked.

"Cannae say I do. It's jist a feelin' I get," he replied with a shrug. I hummed. "Are all Humans like him?" I thought.

All of a sudden, we heard a loud banging. I summoned my ninja stars and stood in front of the Human.

   "Emerald..." I muttered annoyedly.

"Emerald? Wha's tha'? Another gem?" Soap asked me.

"Trouble," I responded. Suddenly, there was a loud bang. Then the door handle jiggled and I tensed, ready to fight. But Ametrine entered the building, looking like he'd just come out of an explosion.

"Ametrine, are you alright?" I asked him as I rushed up to him.

"M'fine, sir. Just a few scratches."

   "Need any healing?"

"No, sir. Thank you, sir." I watched as my colleague shuffled over to the couch and sat down with a long sigh.

"He looks rather pilly-wally t' me, sir," Soap pointed out.

   "Pilly-wally? You mean sickly?"

   "Sort of. He looks exhausted."

"That, he does. Soap, fix him some tea, please." The look I got from the man made my heart swell. He was a good person. I was right to trust him. An unrelated thing kept nagging me, so I decided to ask Ametrine about it.

I approached my comrade and sat beside him. The faint whistle of the kettle made him flinch, but I placed a calming hand on his lilac skin. I adored his smooth, orange-freckled skin.

"What happened with the Emerald, Gaz?" I asked him. I heard the human make a confused noise after I spoke.

"Gaz? But I thought his name was Ametrine."

"It is. We have nicknames for each other. Callsigns, if you will."

"Oh... Huh." I smiled fondly as Soap brought Gaz his tea.

   "Wha's that...?" He mumbled tiredly.

"It's tea. It's really yummy," I responded. Ametrine slowly took the cup into his hands.

"Careful, it's hot," Soap stated. Ametrine only hummed and took a small sip. I watched as his eyes widened and sparkled.

"Oh my gods. This is bloody brilliant!" He exclaimed excitedly.

Citrine's POV:

After poofing the Zircon, I took his gem with me back to Soap's home. It was late when I returned. I heard chatter coming from inside. 'They trust him so easily,' I thought. I scoffed and sat on the porch. I looked at the Zircon in my hand and started fiddling with it.

"So fuckin' cocky," I muttered. I felt my clothed face. "I bet you're rather proud of yourself for what you did."

"What who did?" Soap said from beside me. I summoned my scythe and aimed it at him.

"Don't fuckin' do that," I snarled.

"Sorry, sorry," he said with his hands raised in surrender. "Who're ye talkin' tae?"

"No one," I scoffed as I put my scythe away.

"Where'd ye get that gem?" He asked me. I sighed.

"I defeated a Zircon, and this is his gem. Happy now?"

   "Ye killed him?"

"Temporarily, yes, until he regenerates... unless I shatter his gem completely." I tensed up as the human sat beside me.

"Do ye plan on it?" He asked me.

"It's a tempting thought. He fucked me up." I kept my gaze on the gem in my hand.

"Did he mess up yer face?" Soap slowly asked.

"Yeah, he did," I replied sharply.

"I guess you're not th' only one with a defeated enemy. Gaz took doon an Emerald. He said that they had prosthetics, which made them easy to defeat." That piqued my curiosity.

"Did he give a name?" I asked.

"I dinnae ken," he replied with a shrug.

   "English, Soap," I huffed.

"I don't know," he said in an exaggerated American accent. I stood up and entered the house.

"Ametrine, you poofed an Emerald?" I asked my colleague. He took a sip of something and looked at me.

"I did," he answered with a quick nod. I marched up to him.

"And the Emerald had prosthetics?" I questioned.

   "Yeah, why?"

"'Yeah, why?' Do you not remember Alex?" I exclaimed.

"Who?" Ametrine and Pargasite asked me. My eye twitched. That's when Soap entered the house.

"What's goin' on?" He asked. I turned around and looked him dead in the eye.

"You're comin' with me," I ordered, before leaving the building.
