Chapter 14: Tea party!!

I was excited about the tea party, even though I felt a little sleepy. Mama and Auntie V'nessa helped me get the tiny tea set ready, and I watched as they carefully placed the cups and saucers on the table.

"Welcome to the most magical tea party in the fairy kingdom," Mama said with a twinkle in her eye. "We have the finest fairy tea and treats."

That made me giggle. I loved playing pretend, and Mama always made it so much fun. I sat down between them, clutching my fairy doll and teddy bear, who were joining us for the party.

Auntie V'nessa poured pretend tea into our cups, making a funny sound. "Here you go, Miss Lily, the finest tea brewed by the garden fairies themselves," she said, handing me a tiny cup.

I took it in both hands and pretended to sip. "Mmm, yummy tea!" I said, smiling wide. It really did taste like magic.

"Do you feel the sparkles, sweetie?" Mama asked, leaning in with a secretive wink.

"Sparkly!" I nodded, wiggling with excitement.

Auntie V'nessa made the bear talk in a funny voice. "Oh, Miss Lily, this tea is simply delightful!" she said, making me laugh so much I almost spilled my cup.

"Teddy loves tea!" I declared, setting my cup down and clapping my hands.

Mama pretended her tea was too hot. "Oh dear, this tea is steaming! I must blow on it!" she said, puffing over the cup, which made me giggle even more.

Auntie V'nessa was really funny. She balanced my fairy doll on her cup and talked for it. "Careful, don't fall in!" she said, making funny faces that had me giggling uncontrollably.

Soon, I was feeling less sleepy and more like myself. I poured more pretend tea and felt like the best host. "More tea for Auntie V'nessa!" I announced, filling her cup with a big smile.

"Why, thank you, Miss Lily," Auntie V'nessa said, pretending to sip. "You make the best tea!"

I felt so proud and happy with her praise, and my earlier shyness melted away. I liked Auntie V'nessa a lot.

As we played, Auntie V'nessa and Mama told me stories about magical adventures, and we imagined the most wonderful flavors for our tea. Auntie V'nessa said hers tasted like cotton candy clouds, and I laughed. "Mine tastes like rainbow ice cream!" I said, bouncing in my seat.

Mama joined in, saying, "And mine tastes like the juiciest strawberries picked under a full moon." That sounded so delicious!

Our tea party was the best ever. We clinked our cups together and pretended to drink, and I felt so happy. "What shall we toast to, my darling fairy?" Mama asked.

I thought hard before saying, "To love and sparkles and...more tea parties!"

"To love and sparkles!" Mama and Auntie V'nessa echoed, clinking their cups with mine.

With our tea party wrapping up, Mama and Auntie V'nessa cleared the tea set away, and I felt a yawn coming. I was getting sleepy again, but I was also very happy. I hugged my teddy bear and fairy doll tightly, feeling warm and cozy.

"Thank you, Auntie V'nessa," I said, my eyes feeling heavy. "I love our tea party."

Auntie V'nessa leaned over and kissed my forehead. "I'm so glad you had fun, sweetie. You're a wonderful hostess."

I snuggled against Mama as she tucked me in beside her, my eyelids drooping. Mama gently stroked my hair, cooing softly, "Aww, my little sleepy fairy. Let's put you to bed."

I felt safe and loved, with Mama and Auntie V'nessa here. As I drifted off to sleep, I smiled, thinking about all the fun we'd had. The tea party was the best, and I couldn't wait to play again.
