Y/N couldn't hold her laughter as she looked at the piece of toast kept on plate. "I think it's.......overdone, Soonyoung", Y/N said staring at it.

Soonyoung who was standing by the stove with an apron saying 'Best Chef' in bold letters, frowned and crossed his arms, "I don't think so. It doesn't look that bad".

Y/N raised her eye brow, trying to suppress her laughter, "Soonyoung, it's literally black and I think we can safely call it a burnt toast".

"I was trying something new but I guess, I left it for too long", he pouted, Y/N couldn't stop laughing, "You left it for too long Soonyoung. You can even use this toast to breal someone's head, I guess".

He let out an exaggerated sigh, turning away from her, "Fine. If you don't appreciate my cooking then someone needs to make their own breakfast from now on".

Y/N blinked in suprise, realising that he genuinely seemed upset. She quickly walked over him, "Hey, I was just teasing you".

He stayed silent, his back still turned as he stared at the stove. Y/N frowned, feeling guilty, "Come on, don't be mad. You know I love it when you cook. I've always appreciated your efforts, even if it doesn't turn out perfectly".

Still no response from him.

She sighed, stepping closer to him and wrapping her arms around his waist. She said, "Please don't give me silent treatment. You know I was joking right? You know I think that you are amazing".

He finally turned his head slightly, glancing at Y/N the corner of his eyes, "You sure?". Y/N nodded.

Soonyoung stayed quiet for a moment longer, then suddenly spun around with a mischievous grin. Before she could react, he quickly lifted her off the ground and gently placed her on the kitchen counter, "Gotcha".

Y/N gasped, her eyes widening in suprise as Soonyoung leaned in pressing a quick kiss on her forehead. "Wait..... you were faking it all the time again?".

He burst out laughing, his eyes sparkling with mischief, "You should have seen your face when I pretended to be mad".

Y/N lightly smacked his chest, though she was smiling too, "You are such a brat! I thought you were genuinely upset".

He grinned, leaning back slightly, his hands resting on either side on Y/N on the counter, "Admit it, you felt a little bad".

Y/N rolled her eyes, "Maybe a tiny bit, but you deserved it for trying to pass off this piece of charcoal for breakfast. You do know you are dating a chef right?".

Soonyoung laughed, grabbing the burnt toast in his hand like a trophy, "This toast will go down in history as the most misunderstood masterpiece".

Y/N laughed, "Yeah the most misunderstood masterpiece by everyone's taste buds".

They stared at each other before bursting out laughing. Soonyoung took out his phone, "Anyways". She looked at him, "Wait, What are you doing?".

"What do you think? Ordering something edible cause someone here is not believing in the culinary skills of a MasterChef like me. So, I'm going to spare you today".

Y/N raised her eyebrow, "So already accepting your defeat? The great chef Soonyoung is already giving up". Soonyoung dramatically placed a hand over his hand, "Never! I'm just tired. But remember one day this MasterChef will be back with his best dishes. A genius knows when to stop and when to start".

Y/N leaned forward, resting her hands around his shoulders, "Mmm, sure. But what are you going to order, oh mighty genius?".

Soonyoung smiled, holding up the phone, "How about fluffy delicious pancakes?". Y/N's eyes lit up, "Yes. It's been a long time since I had pancakes".

He grinned, dialing the number and ordering the pancakes, letting Y/N choose the toppings.

As they waited for the order to arrive, Soonyoung stared at Y/N, he glanced around the kitchen once and said, "You know, this cooking thing is harder than it looks".

Y/N frowned, "Really?". He hummed, reaching out to tuck a strand of hair behind Y/N's ear, "Well, not everyone can be a good chef like you. So I'll just stick to my day job".

"And what is your day job, Mr. Kwon Soonyoung?", Y/N asked, leaning closer. He smiled, "Entertaining you, of course".

"Oh, and what about your daily job?", she asked. "Let's just forget about it for now. I got a month holiday; let's enjoy", he said. Y/N shook her head, "And you do a pretty good job at that".

Soonyoung's smile softened as he looked at Y/N, his playful demeanor giving a way to something more sincere, "I might not be able to cook like you but if I can make you laugh, that's the biggest thing".

Y/N smiled, her heart warming at his words, "You're more than enough, Soons", she leaned in pressing a gentle kiss to his lips.

Soonyoung's eyes crinkled with happiness as he returned the kiss, his hands resting on her waist.

"I'm glad you think so because I'm pretty sure this is the last time I'm stepping foot in the kitchen", he said.

Y/N laughed, shaking her head, "Oh no, you are not getting out of this easily. I'm gonna teach you how to make a perfect toast".

He groaned, throwing his head back, "Do I have to? Can't we just takeout or you can cook".

Y/N playfully poked his side, "Not a chance. Consider it as your first lesson in Chef Y/N's kitchen".

He chuckled, pulling Y/N closer. "Alright, but only if you promise to reward me with more kisses for every successful toast".

Y/N pretended to think about it for a moment before nodding, "Deal but don't think that I'm going easy on you just because you are cute".

Soonyoung leaned closer, trying to initiate another kiss but the bell rang, signaling the arrival of food delivery.

He groaned, "You've got to be kidding me", he muttered pulling back. Y/N laughed, "Looks like universe doesn't want us to kiss yet".

Soonyoung sighed but couldn't help but smile, "Arrange the plates. I'll take the order". Y/N nodded. Soon he returned back with a bags full of delicious smell.

They sat down together on a small kitchen table, unpacking the food and digging in. Taking their first bite, both hummed in satisfaction, "This is the best".

They ate in comfortable silence for a while, the only sounds being the clinking of utensils and the occasional satisfied hum from Y/N. After finishing their meal, Hoshi leaned back in his chair, patting his stomach. "I'm officially stuffed".

Y/N smiled, feeling equally satisfied. "Me too. That was perfect". Soonyoung glanced at the empty plates and then back at Y/N, a mischievous glint returning to his eyes,"So, about that lesson…"

Y/N laughed, shaking her head in disbelief, "You're really not going to let this go, are you?".

Soonyoung grinned, standing up and pulling Y/N, "Nope. I'm determined to learn, even if it takes all day".

Y/N rolled their eyes, though they couldn't help but smile at his enthusiasm, "Alright, alright. Let's get started".

As they moved back to the kitchen counter, Soonyoung grabbed a loaf of bread and handed it to Y/N. "Okay, Chef. Show me how it's done".

Y/N took the bread, holding it up like it was the key to unlocking all the culinary secrets. "Step one: Don't burn the toast".

Soonyoung chuckled, nodding seriously, "Got it. No burning".

"That's it. Nothing more instructions. Just make sure not to burn it", Y/N laughed.

And so, with laughter and love, they began their cooking lesson, ready to make more memories together.
