Hyde's POV-
Here I stand silent and staring out through the balcony of a cabin where I am currently residing in for the moment. I feel tired but not enough to sleep and even when I do, closing my eyes makes me see nothing but I can feel everything around my body. The moon is out shining throughout the night sky as some of its lights enters through the wooden door entrance of which I stand in front. I stand here looking out at the great scenery before me, the endless miles of trees along with the faint sounds of critters and animals moving about in the middle of the night.
If I focused enough I could hear them clearly from their steps to the connection of their legs against the leaves and grass below them. These things I can hear whereas my sight allows me to perceive further out with the light of the moon making things hidden in the dark more visible and clear. The scent of the air around fills my nostrils with many mixtures of different odors that signal my mind to think of the taste along with. All of my senses are heightened to an extent and yet it all comes to make me ponder I singular thought of which echoes in my very body.
"Who am I?" I hear the words leave my lips and enter outward.
This question is something that ever since my coming into existence has greatly plagued my being. My own being to be exact, for I am no longer confined into a other conscience and therefore possess my own. Five years have gone by and for the start of those years I have seen things beyond and further more.
I've experienced the wilds of faes and even after visited the world of the death. From there facing many creatures from different existences, all connected in some form of manner. While also understanding the boundaries and broken limits of my own body and essence. And here I am now returned to the land of the living where most of the populace is human with others scattered about and farther out. Though each of them are binded together by their own histories and lineages whereas I am the only one of my own. Born from the flesh of human but far beyond it, my limbs are true weapons being able to take form of whatever I can imagine for that is my only limit.
And as such my senses being heightened and my body no entirely fragile, I would experience the many pleasures that the world had to offer. And I loved each moment. Though as time came to pass so to did my thirst and hunger for more to experience upon my own body.
With one blink closed of my eyes I would find myself standing on the peak of the highest mountain in the area and above an entire city for me to see all of its lights and hear the many sounds, smell the scent of different odors, practically tastes those varietal flavors, and feel the cold and warm breeze of winds move across my skins. This is what I do everyday just to get a kickstart to whatever new thrill I will encounter today.
And by the end of it recall a famous quote from a philosopher from then.
"Cogito ergo sum, I think therefore I am." The words escaping my lips once again. And again though this time with a more crescendoing vocal that would echo through the air.
"Cogito ergo sum, I think therefore I am!.... And I am Hyde!"
